Sad story, Sue. She and her kids will be in my prayers. Hoping things improve for them, soon. And glad to hear no injuries in that crash.

My dad had a stroke last Saturday night, and he's been in the hospital all week. He's opened his eyes now and then, and tries to talk, but has only said a few words that make sense. Last night he started having problems with his stomach, and I'm really worried about him. The nurse we've had the past two days is awful- very negative and, ahem, "witchy". My mother, sisters and I are still holding on to hope, but things are scary! If you guys can pray for him, we would all appreciate it a lot!

Would like to request some special prayers for my youngest sister who is 24. She found out that her pregnancy was not going to continue. They had not been able to detect a heartbeat. She lost the baby yesterday, spent all night last night at the hopsital bleeding heavily. I just pray for them both to be strong and have faith that God cares for them and will guide them. Thanks in advance.

He lost his wife of over 35 years this morning. It was totally unexpected, she had been ill but was feeling much better yesterday. They have 4 children - 2 married with kids of their own and two in college. The youngest was with her when she took a turn for the worst and her last words to her were "I love you"...just breaks my heart

Their youngest just started college this year and she was going to retire soon. I feel just terrible for him - he has been a great friend and mentor to me over the years.....

Had to add...his oldest daughter gave birth to a new baby boy this morning at 4:14 a.m. - the exact same time that his wife passed yesterday. They had thought that she wouldn't be able to attend the funeral since she was too close to delivery time. Now it looks like she'll be able to make it with a healthy baby boy in tow...

My mom Pat, hannamaehound on the boards, is in the hospital w/ infectious Pneomonia. She is in quarentine and we can't see her. She is really looking to be out soon so she can enjoy herself in Disney but she also is in a lot of pain and needs prayers please. Thank you!

My dad has had pain in his stomach for about a month. The doctor just found a mass in his abdomen and scheduled him for a cat scan on Tuesday. Right now we don't know what it might be. My mom doesn't want me to call my sisters until we know what is wrong. They don't live near us and she doesn't want them to worry. So I'm worrying for all of us.

Hi all...my Good friend and her baby need lots of prayers:

Hello everyone, just a short note to let you know that Jude Llewellyn was born on Sunday 2/15 at 2:15PM. He was 6lb 13oz, and 20 & 1/2 inches long. Unfortunately, he was born sick and whisked away to Jefferson Hospital in Philly where they have the tools to make him well.
He was born with meconium in his lungs. (this link will take you to a site that can better explain this: http://www.kidshealth.org/parent/medical/lungs/meconium.html )
So far he hasn't gotten any worse, but is very slow & cautious in his healing. We aren't sure how long he will have to stay at Jefferson, but we are praying (& praying & praying) that we will have him home with his big brother & sister soon. I discharged myself about 24 hours after he was born to be with him & Bill at Jefferson, and Bill hasn't been able to bring himself to leave Jude's side for more than an hour or so (he hasn't left Jefferson since Sunday & I don't think I can make him).

We are humbly asking for prayers, good vibes, positive Zen, whatever you can give in your own way to help this precious guy heal as quickly as possible.

I am scheduled for surgery on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day!!) and am a bit nervous. I have had surgery once before (for my sinuses) but this one is a bit longer and very different - I am freaking out about not waking up from the anethstesia (sp?). My last surgery, while I did become conscious, I wasn't fully awake until late that night - close to midnight and my surgery was early in the morning. I was practically shoved out of there to make room for more patients (it was outpatient) and I think it freaked me out being so out of it for so long. It was horrible, and I fear that this time I won't wake up - please pray that everything goes as planned.


Maybe I need to stop watching Discovery Health???

Hi, there, Jeleebeene! I remember you were at Disney World the same week we were last September. So sorry to hear you have to go through another surgery. It's always a bit scary having surgery. Let us know how you are doing. I will be praying that all goes well for you and you will be able to be at peace about all this. Soon it will all be over and you'll be on your way to recovery!
