Prayer and pixie dust requests--Updated May 2

Please pray for my daughter and my unborn grandson, Aiden. My daughter has waited 5 years to have this baby. She wasn't able to afford any exteme measures and thought she would be childless, especially as she had had cervical cancer just two years ago.

Then on December 26, my parents 56 wedding anniversary, she and her husband found out that they were to be parents. This was even more poignant as my Mother had passed away the previous April and all the family were together this past Christmas, the first one without Mom. My daughter's news brought so much joy to our family, especially my Father. We just knew once Mom got to heaven she took matters in her own hands to help her granddaughter! It made the holidays so much easier, everyone remembering Mom and how she fixed things for everyone. We just know in our hearts she sent Aiden to her oldest granddaughter to cherish.

Now Vicki is 28 weeks pregnant and her cervix is thinning to fast. It is at 1.9, it should be around 3 something. She just called me from Labor and Delivery where the doctors ordered a steroid shot to help Aiden develope his lungs. The doctors hope she can carry him for three more weeks. So please pray that this long awaited child stays put for at least three more weeks. Four would be better!!!

Thank you

Hi all,

I normally don't ask for prayers here b/c my requests are nothing compared to the magnitude that everyone else has. This time is different. My DH is going in for surgery tomorrow. The surgery isn't life or death...but it is very important to us. If the results come out negative that will mean that my husband cannot father children at all. I know it will break his heart if he can't have kids biologically.

Thank you all,

Kristy

Please send pixie dust for my uncle!

He is very poorly at the moment and is requiring chemotherapy treatment on a regular basis. Obviously, he is feeling very tired and drained, as is my auntie (they have two young active boys aged 4 & 6).

My DH and I (along with our DD2 and son (currently 2 months) are taking the boys to WDW with us in July (this will be their first ever visit!) to give my aunt and uncle some peace and quiet.

My other aunt and uncle are coming with us to help out with the four little ones. We are very excited for our up and coming trip, yet very upset that this is happening to me uncle.

Please send pixie dust :wizard:

Thank you x

I would like to ask if you could please add mine and Pooh667's mother to the prayers and pixie dust list. She had surgery for a thoracic anuerysm just above the heart last Friday and is still in ICU because she is having trouble with fluid in her lungs. She has been on and off the respirator twice and hasn't had more than one good day since her surgery. I keep everyone else on the list in my prayers also. Thank you!

I add my prayers and PD to all those in need.

Please keep my DH in your prayers as he has been in a lot of pain due to a bulging disc. He sees a PT on Fri and gets a cortisone shot on Mon to **hopefully** stop the pain. We leave for WDW in a week with my family and I want him to be able to go and be comfortable even while taking it very easy. This is a big trip, 6 months in the making with my parents and brothers. This also might affect the ability to continue to work at his current job. Thank you for thinking of us. Bless you.

I'd like to ask for prayers for one of the board directors from the organzation I belong to - her 15 yr. old son died suddenly yesterday from a brain annurism. Makes you want to go hug your kids and tell them you love them. So sad.

Prayers and positive thoughts for this poor woman, her son, and family, as well as to all those who are in need. I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

I'd like to ask for prayers/positive thoughts for my brother (age 40)- he had his heart valve replaced two years ago, and his sons (12 and 13) had to call 911 when he had chest pain. They don't know exactly what it is but they detected something on the valve and he's awaiting further tests.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned.
The boy who died on the roller coaster's family.

My sister, Hkite (Heather) is very ill. They have diagnosed her with Hughe's Syndrome, which causes her body to form many blood clots. They have her on blood thinners, but she is horrible pain, and we are still unsure if the clots are dissolving. I am scared to death for my baby sister. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Heather is the Mommy to little baby Sawyer, pictured below. He's only 5 weeks old, and her daughter is only three. They need there Mommy to be ok. (Her big sister (me) does too!)

Tuesday morning we came into the hospital for an outpatient EGD and colonoscopy on our 16 month daughter, Lydia. The Dr. inserted a pH probe (looks like an NG tube but has an electronic sensor on the end to measure acid reflux). Lydia came out of surgery grunting and she continued to decline all day. She had emergency surgery at midnight because it was discovered the pH probe had punctured her esophagus. Stomach acid and other stomach contents had been leaking into her chest cavity all day from the puncture. She was in surgery for over 4 hours and was very unstable Wednesday until about 1 in the afternoon. She is on the vent and her condition is still critical but stable. Our precious baby is very sick and we need everyone's prayers.

My thoughts and prayers to all of you who need God's extra blessings right now. May all your prayers be answered.

Please send prayers for my sister in law. She went to the ER yesterday because she just about passed out, feeling tired and just not herself. My brother insisted he take her. Long story short, they are 95% sure that she has Lieukemia. They will know more tomorrow. This gal would do anything to help anyone. Just last year she donated a kidney to her best friend. I can only hope that one of us will be able to help her if it is needed. They have 2 little boys 3 and 5. My brother is beside himself. Please pray, they need all the help they can get.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! They wanted to perform a test for acid reflux on my baby nephew, I wonder if it is the same test? My sister cancelled it, because he wasn't having any symptoms anymore. I will be praying for your little Lydia (my three year old's name is Lydia too.)

Can I ask for you guys to pray for these:

My parents are buying a house for a cheaper payment- In GA.
My MIL is very sickly.3
My nephew, who is in the military.

Thanks, DISers! :)

As an only child, i.e., the only possible caregiver, could I ask my DIS friends for some prayers? My mother is in poor health, has been a diabetic for years, uses a cane and/or scooter to get around, takes about 20 pills per day, etc. However, it is my father who is currently hospitalized, undergoing a myriad of tests to try to determine why he has fallen twice in the past week

Add to this situation the guilt I am feeling over being concerned in the back of my mind about the vacation my husband and I are scheduled to take next week. (Am I a terrible daughter?) We really need to take this vacation and get away. However, there is obviously no one else to rely upon so, depending upon the diagnosis, who knows...

Thanks for letting me talk. Your prayers would be appreciated.

I have both some prayer requests and some requests for pixie dust...

I'm going through a bit of a hard time right now. (Oh my this is going to make me start crying) On August 30th I had a little girl, my first born. She was very much the light of my life. I, 6 days later, attended a court date and surrendered my parental rights to place her in an adoption situation. She's now with her adoptive parents. I'm very much grieving my loss of her, even though I know she's in the best possible situation now, they can give her so many things that I cannot. Any prayers you can provide for me for strength and for her to have love and light would be much appreciated.

Now for my pixie dust request. I ended up having her by c-section, so I have not been allowed to return to work yet. The lack of money coming in is beginning to make it very hard to afford anything, and we're starting to think we may have to cancel our WDW trip. I haven't been to WDW in now, 13 years, and I very much know that I need this trip after the last 10 months of, well hell... I've been through, and the last few months of hell my boyfriend has been through! If you can send any pixie dust our way so that way may still be able to go on this once in a lifetime magical vacation together! I'd much appreciate it and thank you for everything in advance.
