Prank Calling

I have a few questions on it.
My friends and I were debating about it.

Is it illegal?
Is it illegal in YOUR state?
If not, what are the restrictions?

I think it's illegal in Illinois.
I asked my mom about it. She thinks so, too. I can't find it anywhere online, though =\.

Do you prank call?
Ever gotten in trouble for it?

I used to when I was 8. I think anyone who does it as a teenager or older just need to get themselves a life.

I don't know if prank calling it illegal in my state.

I know that 2 of my friends did it to this girl we hate on my other friends mobile and her mum picked up. Told them not to be such stupid cows then rang back later when my friend who wasn't involved had the phone. She threatened to phone the police and had my friend in tears. We kind of felt guilty about that. The girl who it was was like bullied by everyone i mean you should've seen the comments on her piczo and bebo everyone one of them was hate comments. I guess her mum was just fed up of it. I didn't particulary care the 3 of us who called go to her school and when we saw her she was like telling everyone the story. She hated me anyway, she used to try to bully me(failed miserably).

No, but.. Uhm... we went on my walkie talkies and this REALLLLLLY Creepy guy was on there.
I thought it was a robot, and me and my friend were in a rink, when he said
"I see you with the ancaster jacket" ( Ancaster is a team my friend plays for, which she was wearing)

So then...we screamed and ran to our fathers...because....ahhh it was creepy.



THEN.

A while later, we were at a COMPLETELY different hockey rink, out on the deck, and we got the SAME VOICE. My friend had a purse that said "Mrs. Kutcher".

And he said it AGAIN.
"Hello Mrs. Kutcher. Must be cool being married to a rich superstar."

I have never picked up those walkie talkies again.

^ I had some wierdo on my walkie talkie once and he asked where I lived. I've had a fear of walkie talkies ever since.

I once prank called my ex-gf and said I was from Verizon. I said she went over her minutes (Which she did btw) and she freaked out. It was worth it though.

I prank called my aunt. She called the cops and i got in HUDGE trouble for it. Don't prank call people.

I have walkie talkies which i got on christmas a few years ago and we always got interfereing conversations which were totally freaky.


me & my friends prank call our work all the time. nothing mean or threatening, just sillyness.
Once I called with a russian accent and the girl on the other end put me on hold, and when she came back i had a british accent. hehe.

With that being said, yeah my friends and I have pranked call people.

Yeah I sometimes do it, just to my close friends though as jokes. But never to be mean about it though. But me and my friend Jesse was going through the phone book one night looking for someone to prank. We was just going to pick a random number in my town so we *67ed it and called, well the song Laffy Taffy came on and we turned it up loud and this old man picked up and was like hello? hello? and he heard the music he said the songs these kids listen to these days.. haha!

Ive never done it with me dialing the # but ive been like on 15 ways on the phones with friends and one of my friends pranked called some random guy and he was threatening to call the cops on us

Then on Friday i had my dads cell phone since my battery was dead on mine and the kids i baby sit got in purse and took my phone and prancked called this one lady that my dad works with and she almost called the cops i was making dinner at the time and hes a 5th grader and he goes up to me and says whos Tina and i go why and he goes because i just prancked called her and i'm like o crap that lady is gonna call the cops so i called her right back and told her what had happened and she said never again and then told my dad but he wasnt mad at me since i didnt do it...
