PPO breakfast strategy?

So, we are not typically rope drop people. Therefore, looking for before rope drop (EMM, PPO) has never been on the table for me before, but now I have littles for a first visit and a PPO booked for day 1.

Now I am wondering: If you have a PPO breakfast at BOG, are there any rides open during that hour before the official opening time? What are the advantages of a PPO breakfast? Only to get in line for one ride? We already have a FP+ for 7DMT and Peter Pan, so which ride would be the best to line up for opening time? (I am assuming that you get in line for 1 ride only and get on at 9:00 as soon as the park opens). Winnie the Pooh or Dumbo, perhaps?

Also, we have two boys with multiple severe anaphylactic allergies so they won't likely be a blessing to eat anything at BOG (Mom has to pack their food). Do we have to order a meal for everyone, including them? For that matter, DH and I usually just have coffee for breakfast. Is that an option at BOG or can we split one of those huge meals listed, at least? What about children's menu items for an adult? OK or not?

Thanks for sharing any experiences, advice or suggestions!

If you have 7D and PP FPs already I don't really see the point of booking an over priced breakfast that you won't eat.

Rides will not be running before 9.

If you want to do Dumbo or Pooh, just arrive to MK before 9 and let the masses run to 7D while you walk pleasantly to either ride.

If you want a second ride on 7DMT I would line up for that. The other rides will still have pretty low waits when you get off.

You do not have to order a meal for each person. At BOG at breakfast and lunch you can order kid meals for adults.

BOG is counter service so your party may order as much or as little as you want. It is really a nice restaurant to visit, especially for a PPO meal. I know you have a FP for Peter Pan, but like the stand by queue for this attraction, especially with youngsters. You take a walk through the Darling home, and it is fun. We always head over there for our first attraction if we have a PPO at BOG. If you choose to keep the FP, then any of the attractions will be short I believe.

I gotta say I love a PPO breakfast. One of the benefits is that you are in a park that is relatively empty. WDW is so crowded all the time, it's nice to get pictures of the castle without a million people. Secondly, a PPO at BOG is quick since it's quick service. You are literally right next to 7DMT and you can easily get in line for it early. Since it's so far to get to from park opening, you are right there and beat the crowds. I think we got in line for 7DMT after our breakfast around 8:45 and were off it before 9am. They opened it slightly before 9 - don't remember exactly the time.

If you think your kids will love SDMT, maybe get in line right after breakfast and ride it standby, then ride again with FP. My kids would go on coasters as many times as they could.

I have no idea how they will react. This is the first day of the first time.
