The pool that was re-opened March 27th is now closed again due to other maintenence issues. CM's at the hotel have not been informed of when it will re-open. Could be tomorrow, could be June.
Bummer for me, I'll be there next week.

I think this means you get to use either the DLH pool or the GCH pools, which are better anyway! I could be wrong though.

Correct. While pool-hopping is not allowed normally, if the pool at your hotel is closed, you're allowed to use the others, which as Moto said, is actually better because PPH has the worst pool by far of the three!

Oh come on!! That really stinks. Yes, the others are better. But it's quite the walk in swim suits.

I don't understand this at all, you don't just go to the pool in your suit at any pool, you go in a cover up or shorts and a tank top and wear flip flops......

Besides, the DLH and GCH pools are much better than the PPH pool.

Mainly thinking about on the way back, when your still kind of wet. Even if you put dry clothes over your wet suit. It's usually nice to get to your room to change in to dry clothes as soon as you can.

Regardless the walk alone just to swim is a bit much, even if the pools are nicer. Not quite the same as a quick elevator ride to the pool.

good points, I just have a cover up dress so I don't care if it gets wet or not, the girls have dresses too, DBF just wears his trunks to the pool and takes his shirt off to swim so on the way back he's OK if he's dry on his top half.

and yes, the walk to swim is longer, but I'd do it to swim at the GCH. :) It's probably a 10 minute walk from the PPH lobby to the GCH pool, actually, it's probably about 7.

Maybe I'll try and get a better cover up dress before we go. I usually would do shorts and a tee shirt. That wouldn't feel too good wet. Guess I'll have to do a bit more planning that's all. :)

Someone said on another thread, when staying at the GC, they'd get their suits on, re-enter Cal Adv and ride Grizzly River Run. After they had done that a few times they'd return to the pool area.
I like this idea!!! Brilliant :thumbsup2
