I'm heading DL, staying at PPH Dec 12-16th.

Any updates on the Elevator system ?
I'd heard the system was updated and wonder how its going.

We'll have 2 ECV's with our family group. Do you know if you can leave the scooters with Bell Services for the night to help with the congestion in the elevators or is it more advisable to just take them to your room. My family members can walk a short distance, so wondering if this would make the elevator ride easier for them and free up space for others. Or any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

We are checking in tonight. I'll try to report back and let you know how it's going. I'm a little nervous about it too. We don't have any ECVs but we'll have a stroller with us. Hopefully it's not a problem!

Terrific ! ! Have a wonderful day !

Just stayed at PPH a week ago -- we were very pleased with the new elevator system. We didn't have ECVs, but there shouldn't be a problem using them in the elevators as long as there aren't others in the same elevator. We did notice several guests dropping off their ECVs at Bell Services for the night, so that is indeed an option, too.

The only small issue we had was in the morning -- our very full elevator (guests checking out w/luggage plus guests getting ready to enter the parks) stopped at each floor on the way down -- so those guests may have had quite a wait for an elevator that had enough room to accommodate them. We were on the 11th floor, so I'm sure we had a good advantage.

Thank you .... good to know about Bell Services, we might check into using them as an option just to make more room in the elevator and to make it a bit faster for others as well.

Just stayed there as well just over a week ago and other than right after fireworks one night, we did not encounter previous elevator issues! :woohoo: I can confirm that there are stairs as well as we took them up 15 flights after fireworks after waiting over 5 minutes for an elevator. :lmao: DH thought I was nuts but wanted to report back as many of us have wondered. I would not recommend it but it is an option. We were on the 15th floor. Unreal view. :cloud9:

Good to hear of your experience.
Wowweeee ! 15 flights ! ! ! Now thats quite a trek :earseek:

We stayed there a week or so ago and found the elevators were no problem. I think the new system works well.

It does get busy after world of colour or fireworks but we still didn't wait more than a few minutes.

Yay ! Loving all the positive updates.

We were there the 4th through the 10th and had 2 ECVs. First day we left at bell services to charge overnight. No problem. But day 2 bells ervices gave us a hard time. Would not keep and charge. Said to plug in in hallway!! Documents from Deckerts even said to NOT have hotel charge. We took 2 ECVs to our floor. One we left in hallway and one we took into room. There was only 1 outlet in our hallway!!! Elevator less an issue. Last day had to wait for a couple of cycles to finally get on one. Would not return to PDP.

Oh, sorry to hear all that. Hopefully we can get to our rooms okay with the scooters.

So far we haven't had any problems with the elevators. I feel like they've been really efficient! We are on the 10 th floor and only once did we have to wait a little longer because the first elevator that came had 2 strollers already in it and ours plus the other 5 of us could not all fit. We did not to EMH yesterday. We left the hotel around 8:15am and only waited a few minutes for one. We did stop on at quite a few flora going down though. I think that staying on a higher floor has been to our advantage.

Good to hear.
We arrived today. Keeping our ECV's with us. Parking them in the hallway to charge as per instructed.
Only used the elevators once. Mom in her ECV & me with luggage. We're on the 11th floor. I got off with the luggage, she had trouble getting out of the elevator, the doors closed before I could stop them and away she went. I waited a long 10 minutes and she finally returned. A very nice young man was helping her and got her back to our floor and assisted with driving lessons. Almost comical for the 2 of us. All is well. My first time with the elevator system. I'm sure I'll have more to report. Love our view. Watching the WOC from our room. It's like watching "the back side of a waterfall". Beautiful colors, no images.
Lovely. WOC Dessert Party on Thursday ! EMH tomorrow, 7am..... oh my ! I'll report back on tomorrow's elevators Adventures.
