PP vs PP+ Pre-Order Clairification Needed

I'm confused about what the process is for PP & PP+ when pre-ordering. I think you get the CD & a voucher to exchange for the card to use once there in the mail with PP+, but then what? Do you download the photos from the card to the CD using the card #? The next question is then, what do you get in advance with PP? Is it the same procedure? If anyone would like to take the time to point me to a link or break it down for me...that would be much appreciated!!

With the PP+ you get a card that they will put all the pictures. The plus gets you some character meal pics and such. All the pictures are online for 30 days from the day they are taken. You can add borders and such to the pictures. After you have gone through and edited your pictures you order your CD and it will be mailed to you. PP you have to pay for each picture and they are something like 14.99 for each 4x6. Hope that helps.

When you preorder PP, you get an email or two. The code should appear in your PP account (unless something has changed, and I'm sure someone will mention that that quickly if so). You go to the parks, get a PP card from a photographer, use that (and you can get more cards if you need more or forget one, etc). Please copy the number on the card(s) or take a clear digital picture of the number(s) so you still have the information on the card if you lose the card.

When you preorder PP+ you will receive a CD in the mail. On the CD case should be taped a voucher that you need to bring to get your special PP+ card. JUST the voucher! Not the CD. You get to the parks, go to a photo center, turn in the voucher and get the card. You can get other normal PP cards, too, if people split up and want to have normal PP pictures taken. But ride photos and character meal photos have to go on the special card.

With both, when you're home (or if you have a laptop and some time while on your vacation, you can do it then) you enter your card numbers. Though...I think that they actually connect the + card to your email address and therefore to the account under that email address, so your pictures on the + card can just come on through to your account. That doesn't happen with normal PP though.

And when you're ready to order the CD of your pictures (or download them if you want that option instead), with PP you should see the free CD info in your account. With + you open the CD you received in the mail with the pre-order and pull out the small pamphlet. A page in the pamphlet should have the code that you enter in and it zeroes out the cost of the archive CD and domestic shipping.

They literally just grab the next lanyard when you redeem the voucher. You still need to claim the card in your account to view those photos.

Ok. Starting to get that same feeling I have when I can't help my 4th grader with her homework. Is the account that the credit is applied to for the regular pre-purchased PP CD accessed via MDE? If so, is the credit not applied until you access that account and enter a PP Card #? As for the PP+, I think it was easier (for me anyway) when I just edited my photos and ordered the CD instead of downloading to a CD that I already have. Let's see how quickly I can make a mess of that process!

I mentioned it because I simply do not recall needing to enter my lanyard card number into my account; not this recent time, not in Feb, and not before at DLR. Especially with the ride photos; associated them with my card, and they were just coming through, before I had done anything with my card and account.

As for the PP+, I think it was easier (for me anyway) when I just edited my photos and ordered the CD instead of downloading to a CD that I already have. Let's see how quickly I can make a mess of that process!

You download them to your computer if you choose the download option.

Once you do that, you can put them on a CD, on an external hard drive, whatever. If you're being careful with your images, you put them on a website like shutterfly, copy them to a couple CDs, AND put them on an external hard drive.

If you get the CD mailed to you (which has, so far, been my option of choice) you'll likely upload them to your computer. Same process but in reverse. And then being careful with photos means copying them etc etc.

Not quite. Your order the preorder credit through your mydisneyphotopass account and the credit is put into your account immediately. You do not need to have any PhotoPass photos in your account. That credit just sits there until used.

All you do is make your edits then order your cd - it's actually LESS steps than PhotoPass+!

Your PhotoPass account may have a ghost and it may need an exorcist you probably just entered it and didn't remember. It's impossible for it to work as you said.
