PP+ Lanyard Question

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but I was just looking at the Disney lanyards on Disneystore.com and they don't have clips at the end so how did you attach the PP+ cards?

I'm at work right now so I can't check mine - and you may be right - I don't actually know if the Disney ones do have a clip on the end ..... But there is a metal ring or D-Ring on the end and I carry some loose split key rings with me when we go (you wouldn't believe how many uses I've found for them while at Disney :lmao:) and I used that to hook the card through and then hooked it through the ring at the bottom of the lanyard.

I lost my photopass plus card at DL. I went to the camera center and luckily I had taken a picture of the card. They issued me a new one and transferred the pictures from the old card number to the new card number. Not all the pictures appeared yet (the most recent ones just before losing it weren't available yet so I had to go back in the evening and get the rest transferred over. The cast members were extremely helpful.
I was very glad as my daughter had run the Disneyland Half Marathon as the second race for the Coast to Coast and there were many pictures of her with her three medals that I would have hate to have lost.
Definitely record your photopass plus card number - just in case.

Awesome tip! Thanks! :thumbsup2

So glad you got your card back!

This does however beg the question: if they cancel the old card before issuing the new one and do a simple transfer of the images from old to new .... then why would it be such a problem for them if a card is lost to replace it? Did it take a long time for them to do this for you? I guess I'm trying to figure out why the CM's at the photo centers would give guests a hard time about losing a card and having it replaced :confused3

Awesome tip! Thanks! :thumbsup2

No problem :goodvibes Some of my essential items that I take every year are really strange :rotfl:

Just wanted to give my 2 cents. I used the PP+ in December and was told from the CM at AK that if I lost my card, I can be issued only one more free of charge. After that, you had to pay full price. I lost the little card within the first 4 hours, and the PP+ card itself kept falling off the lanyard and I was so paranoid about losing it, that I ended up taking it off the lanyard and carrying it with our KTTW cards.

We just came back yesterday from an 8 night stay and thought I would share my PP+ experience. Upon receiving the lanyard the little card that lists the attractions included fell off THREE times in one hour. Our clip was very "open" and it was terrible!!! I went straight to the nearest shop after that and bought a lanyard. I had brought needle and thread with me to sew it closed and used the key ring tip described above to secure the cards to the lanyard. It was perfect!!!! Totally secure! Also, I asked at the Main Street Camera Shop where I picked it up and they said if I lost the card I could come back and get another one.

I would HIGHLY recommend NOT using the lanyard that comes with the Photopass+ card. As others have said, the clip is very flimsy and does not hold the card on well. I had not gotten 10 steps from the photoass counter when my Photopass+ card fell off the lanyard. If DH had not seen it fall, I would never have known it was gone. I put it back on thinking it must just not have been on well when they gave it to me, and within about 2 minutes it had come off again. After that, I put the card in my pocket and threw away that lanyard. There have been lots of reports on these boards from people having issues with that lanyard and clasp.

I took it off the lanyard too. And when every photopass person asked where my lanyard was i told them it was junk. I went to pick it up off the table and the card fell off. All set. I took a pic of the #s and stored it like any other card.

if these are the same lanyards they use at DL ( which I'm sure they are)

Do not risk it! Take a pic.. Get another lanyard.. Or put it in your pocket

When they 1st rolled out PP+ we tried it at DL
At DL when getting my PP+ lanyard the cards fell off when the CM handed it to me!
I asked for another one, but was old no.. Not just by the CM, but by the manager in the photo place..

I could believe it! Well my DD was kind enough to let me have her lanyard, with a card pouch on the bottom ( not the plastic ones)
This was a life saver!
Will be using is again when we go in may!
