Difficult to say. I think there will be further falls but it will probably stay at around $1.50 for the foreseeable future.

I presume you mean will you get a better rate for dollars nearer the time not when you are actually in the USA ??

I don't know of anyone who actually changes sterling to dollars in the USA. I think you can only do this at a bank branch and I've never seen one in the tourist areas - downtown Orlando is miles away.

Whatever combination of money/TCs/CC you decide to use I'd strongly recommend you get the dollars and TCs in the UK before you travel.

We only take a very little amount of actual cash with us. We charge everything to our room card and clear the balance once it gets near the limit. This way we only get a couple of transactions on our bank card so avoid charges this way. It doesn't help us with the poor exchange rate but it does save a little
