we will be departing on the magic from Copenhagen in a few weeks. My son is potty training. So when he is scheduled for the nursery I will take him to the pot right before dropping him off but will they take him to the pot while there? Should I stop by and take him myself? I'll leave pull ups but was just wondering if and how they handle potty training stage kids. TIA

I don't think the nursery has a toilet. But they will change your child if he has an accident. You can always stop by and take him to the toilet yourself.

I think if the child tells the nursery staff he needs to go, they will take him to the Club to use the toilets there. But I don't believe they will give regular reminders or just take him to "try."

Enjoy your cruise!

And I'm not sure that the CMs who would escort him to the club facilities can actually enter the bathroom with him. He would have to be able to handle using the toilet himself.

They did when my DD was 2. They brought her over to the club and helped her a little in the bathroom. She was mostly self sufficient but it wasn't like they waited outside. I think it was because she was under 3 and you essentially give them permission to change diapers so it's not much different helping them in the bathroom. This was our experience, so I can't comment if every CM in the nursery would do the same and many changes have occurred in the kids' spaces since then.

OP in our experience no reminders were given. We took her to the bathroom just prior to drop off and the CMs said they would take her if she asked. It sets them up for success because at that age the kids get so involved in playing they forget to go to the bathroom.

Thanks everyone!

This gives me a little insight on what to expect.
