It's not a mac thing. We are all on macs here and we haven't had any problems.

I notice that when I am at work on a slower connection I have trouble. And my son has an older mac, so things run slower on that.

I expected more interaction. I'm hoping that it's just the beta mode, and that we will be pleasantly surprised when they go live by how much more we can do. I'm an eternal optimist!

My owl finally came last night (I'm day 5) and I was able to look at it a bit before going to bed.

Today I got my wand (11 3/4 in Sycamore with Unicorn hair) and was sorted into Hufflepuff. I was never a big fan of Hufflepuff but that is because I didn't like the colors I guess I'm going to have to learn to like them better

I was finally able to complete a practice potion and I am now working on the real thing. I'm not liking the fact it takes 80 minutes to brew the real one though...the 3 minutes was long enough IMO

I was expecting more interaction from Rowling's video but I have been having a lot of fun reading the descriptions and extra material she has on everything.

I finally got my email today and got in! I just got my wand; unicorn and holly, 10 inches, supple. A tawny owl, too. Didn't see a snowy owl but also didn't look for hidden magic on that page before I chose.

This is getting better. First few chapters I was like 'is this it?' but now I am getting into it (as evident that it is 2:34 am for me!).

I'm SpiritScarlet42 Hope to make some friends over there. Right now I am one lonely wizard-wanna be.

just go slow and do what it tells you to do. once you get the trunk you can collect items, I have a cup, salt & pepper and a few other stuff...

I got sorted into slytherin, which is weird but I got kicked out in the middle and got a whole new set of questions that were nothing like the first...

Same!! It's funny because I was just talking to my sister last night about how neither of us had gotten our emails. She said that the site has been having a lot of problems though. I got mine this morning and was really excited to finally get in and of course it says it's overloaded. Grrr!!

BUT...once I do get into my account I'd love to add some friends!

For all the people having issues getting in, keep hitting the refresh button. It has never taken more than a minute or so for the website to come back up for me after getting the purple screen saying they are too busy.
