Is everyone that registered early (in those 7 days) actually going to get early access?

I got my contratulations e-mail this morning...

We’re really excited to confirm that you are one of the lucky people selected for early entry into Pottermore, ahead of when it is open-to-all in October, to help us add finishing touches!

Just wondering what the would selected means in this case. Everyone who preregistered found a quill and got a username. Nobody was selected then.

To the best of anyone's knowledge, everyone who did the event will have early access.

I think the wording on the email is that you have been "officially" accepted and are in their system for early access.

Pottermore Insider (official Pottermore blog) has announced that beta testing has begun. Some of the fan sites (i.e., Mugglenet) are reporting that Day 1 folks have started to receive their "Welcome" emails. Start watching those emails! I found the Magical Quill on Day 3 so will have to wait a bit yet.

Aaaand... it is looking to be random if reports are true. We have people from day 2, 3, and 6 who have received access before many of the day 1 people. Which, I personally think STINKS for the people who got in on day 1 (I was not a day 1 person, just fyi).

I doubt it is random - they are probably going by demographics.

That is possible too... but we don't have a big enough sample size to figure it out yet. Though most have been those that picked English-UK as their language...

"Random" was a bad word choice. Mostly it's the fact they are not doing it by quill challenge day.

Why do you think it stinks? If they'd implied that before or during the registration process that that access would be determined by registration date I could see being frustrated, but I don't think they did.

I did the magical quill on Day 3, and I got my email this morning. So far, it's a lot of fun, but it's definitely beta right now. No background music, areas that don't seem completed and/or locked, so anyone who hasn't gotten their email yet, I wouldn't be too upset.

And it's actually down right now.

The more I played with it this morning, it does seem a little ploddy. I think once I've gone through the books, it's probably not going to be the "go to" place I'd hoped. Still haven't made it to the sorting, etc., though, so my opinion will change, I'm sure.

If you didn't get n during the magic quill challenge, you won't be able to register until October.

ugh I registered day 5. Every time i get an email now i'm praying its from Pottermore... mostly its just stupid emails from Victoria's Secret and American eagle. NOT THE SAME!
