Find one- or vee take your power away!

:)

Glad to hear you're back up! Hope it wasn't too bad.

Jud

Bad enough that going to work where it was warm seemed attractive :rotfl2:

Thanks!

OH Yay I get a turn to start...

Oh! That's a beauty of a shot!

:)

Jud

why thank you very much...your's is pretty darn good too!
question though for all you photo experts out there....what causes the light mark at the bottom of that pic... I got some great shot that trip but they all have that mark on the gorilla pics....I'm guessing something to do with the sun?:confused3

How zoomed were you? Do you know that the lens was clean? Did it happen just in that shoot?

(It looks like the sun is behind you or off to the side, not directly above or in front.)

Don't know for sure what caused it but I would tend to agree with Jud.

I do know that it is very easy to fix if you use editing programs such as Photoshop Elements.

it was right at noon time, and I kinda remember trying to hold one hand up to shade the sun from the lens and thinking now I know what that flower shaped thing was that came with the camera is for:rolleyes1

and klmall, I have never used any photo editing program so I have no clue:confused:

and Jud, it was in all the pics of the gorillas from that time frame

Okay- first, it is showing up at a proper size for the page. :)

In this image it does show more clearly as a "sun spot", probably reflected off the rim of the lens and yes that is what the "flower" is for- though I finally gave up on mine being as it was a pain... and it itself showed up in my wide angle shots!

On the plus side, it does seem to show you have good glass!

:rotfl2:

[and dang! That's a heck of a portrait!]

Jud

eeyoresnr - Not to turn this thread into a Photography thread but Google's free Picasa has a pretty good tool called "Retouch" that does this kind of thing; might be worth looking at.

thanks Jud and klmall...funny cuz this thing is still showing HUGE on my screen
