POTC Refurb

Someone please tell me POTC has opened back up early! I'm going to DL for the 1st time this Friday and POTC will be closed up to the day I'm going for refurbishment. POTC is my all-time favorite ride from WDW and I wanted to see the longer, original version while I was at DL.

Occasionally they open ride closures up before they are supposed to be open. Just double check while on your trip, especially as it gets closer to the date you are supposed to leave. Not a guarantee, but a chance...

I am in the same boat as you. Indiana Jones Adventure will be down during our trip....that is my favorite Disney ride ever. I hope we both get lucky and the rides open up a day early for us!

According to Disneyland.com, it's only supposed to be closed this week. Does anyone know if it has been closed this week or maybe if it's re-opened already?

I was there yesterday... unfortunatly it was closed. I was very sad but I knew it was gonna happen. Chris and I took a picture in front of it looking very sad that will be included in my trip report

I was there last week and was bummed Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion were closed. They opened up just about the same time as I was boarding my flight home.

We're here now. POTC was open thru Sunday, then closed Monday, per the published schedule. It's still closed today. It's scheduled to re-open on Saturday.

Considering the ride is only down for a week, I'd say there is only a tiny tiny tiny tiny chance that it will open early. Usually rides will open early after very long refurbs in which the estimated time of completion was overestimated originally. I'm pretty sure that if they say a ride is down for a week, they know exactly what how to fill that week with stuff to do.

Indy is set to open back up our last day Friday 10/9 but no where does it say POTC is closed during out visit 10/7 thru 10/9. I so miss Disneyland's POTC and will thoroughly bummed if it's closed.

DLR29's post makes it sound like it won't open. It's closed through 10/3. I will seriously crap my pants if it stays closed, attractive as that sounds.

And then it's off the refurb list by October 3rd.

DLR29 just said that there's not much chance of it opening *early*. I agree. I bet their schedule is jam-packed to do whatever they're doing, with little if any fluff-time added that might allow for it to open early.

I leave this afternoon and plan to be in the parks tomorrow so maybe they'll open it back up. Either way, I'm trying to work it out so I'll have another night I can run over to DL after my convention just so I can ride it! It's not that much more for a 2 day Park Hopper vs. a 1 day hopper. We'll see!

HM is my favorite ride and I was so bummed it was closed while we were there too! I can see why, because getting ready for Halloween but I wanted to ride it so bad
