POTC now showing on Disneyland.com as refurb

We're from the Midwest and we're going to DLR for the first time February 19-26 with my sister-in-law's family, and I was so disappointed when I heard PotC would be closed for refurbishment . . . so imagine my surprise when I looked at the calendar today and noticed it was gone!! The first thing I did was call 714-781-7290 and a very helpful CM named Jack confirmed that PotC is not currently schedule for refurbishment, but the Matterhorn Bobsleds and the Mark Twain Riverboat are scheduled to be closed 2/23-2/27/09 . . . At least that gives us 4 days to ride the Matterhorn!!

that's funny...I just called too,,,the gal was no help, she basically read straight off the website. she says it is not going on refurb according to their schedule. We'll see.

Matterhorn is shown on the calendar as being down February 9-12 and not at all during the dates you have listed. :confused3

Mark Twain is currently down as well. We saw Fantasmic! on Monday. Being a frequent visitor, it was interesting to see it done slightly different with no Mark Twain.

Thanks for the link. It's like when you're in the grocery store and you walk past exactly what you need 4 times and can't find it until you someone points it out. Thanks so much!

A CM just sent me a pic by e-mail of the new fantasmic desert box` It ha choco strawberries, mickey krispie treats, 2 biscotti, the purple frosted star cookies, 2 chocolate macaroons. I think that's all. It looked good there was no cheese and crackers and the new calender they have shows fireworks I believe every night in march. I believe that's what he said, but no parade and said they still have no start date for it yet, but POD is officially now gone.

ask them about POTC..is it down?

I know they must think I have ADD cause I ask each time. Thix time I had a Cm say he wished they would send it to refurb cause that's all the calls he's been getting is BB. He said no it's not going down. So far that's the word from many CM.

He also said the sweetheart dinner in BB is 150 dollars, and is NOT a special menu for the promo. It's a shared shrimp cocktail, or crabcakes, a entree of filet mingion, tesoro chicken, or a mushroom coucousm might be 1 other choice, desert is a SHARED orange chocolate mousse with vanilla cream filled strawberries, 2 champagne flutes with non alcoholic cider. I wanted to do this but not so into how the BB one sounds. It's basically a pre set menu of reg items.
