posting pictures in a thread

Is the only way to post photos in a thread by using photobucket?

Wish I could help but I am posting picture challenged. Whenever I try, NEE ends up coming in behind to fix it so it shows right.

Upload your photo to Photobucket - copy the "IMG Code" - Click the "Insert Image" button (in the reply to thread box - up above where you type - it's a box with a sun and mountain in it) - paste the IMG Code into that - click okay - there it is!

Photobucket is the easiest way to post photos...but I have seen others that post using smugmug and other sites...

Photobucket is as simple as morgansmommy explained it.. I don't know anything about how to post from the others but it can be done.

Thanks for the replies! I already know how to use photobucket and upload but that sight is blocked at school (I am a teacher) and I am just thinking ahead. I will have to check into smugmug, not sure if that one is blocked or not.

Oh, try Flickr or Picasa through Google?

And, there's imageshack.us, that may work.

Oh thanks! Flickr is blocked too but I don't think Picasa is. You think they might want me actually working instead of uploading pictures and posting to disboards by blocking all these sites.

I am just thinking ahead to a trip report when I return (3 months away) and uploading pics of the things I create for our trip. The internet is so much faster at school....
This also means that I won't be able to see the pics uploaded in the various threads but at least disboards isn't blocked. Of course I might actually get some work done if it were, HA!

When I'm at school volunteering and it's slow I usually check up on email and the DIS. Well I guess they figured one of the kids was accessing the DIS cause they blocked it!!

I had to pull some strings to get it unblocked! LOL
