posting attachments in this forum?

how do i get permission to post attachments??

The DIS does not allow the addition of attachments to your posts. Some messageboards do allow it. We're just not one of them. I know that at the bottom of your reply screens, there's a button that says "manage attachments" but it's disabled for everyone. Probably just as good because attached files eat up a server and ours is pretty busy already!

i've notice quite a few signatures with photos in them and want to add my own, how do i do that, the "my pictures" area doesn't seem to have a way for me to add without a url..i was wanting to cut and paste

You can set up a free picturehosting account at photobucket.com. Make sure that you either edit your photo so that it does not exceed 550 x 200 pixels (width x height). You can either do that with the photo editing software on your computer or you can upload the image to photobucket and use their primitive editing software.

Once the photo has been uploaded to photobucket, do a copy/paste of the IMG code underneath the picture and place it into your signature. Preview your signature change before saving it to make sure that the image is there. Once you save your new signature, it should appear in all subsequent posts. There's a "test" thread on the technical board for you to post to in order to check it.
