My son's XC team will be running at state and I would love to make bighead posters for the team. I know I could order them for around 25 a piece, but can't afford that for the whole team. Any cheap ways to create? I can get 12x16 picture size at Sam's for 4, but not sure if that would be big enough. The next size up is 12x16 and it is 7. I know Staples has engineered prints in huge sizes for under a couple of bucks, but they would only be in black and white. I have 8 guys to do, so trying to do cheap.

Fun idea!!
I saw something on Pinterest; you can do a search there for DIY bighead poster. That lady used Kinkos to make bigheads for a family party but I'm not sure how much it cost.

Also, check with the HS itself. If there are any sorts of graphics arts classes offered, they may be able to do them for you. My son graduated last year, but for his soccer team's Sr. Night he made GIANT heads of all the seniors. No cost to anyone, he did it during his graphics class time, and the teacher helped. Might be able to have one of the students do it for a graded project?

If you have a locally owned printer or signmaker, (we have the UPS store and something called Signs Plus) maybe you can talk to them about doing it at a low 0r no cost thing because it's a school based thing. I know our football team prints up big posters with ads and the season schedule on them as a fundraiser, and the printer donates or deeply discounts the printing costs...maybe they'd work with you?

Check out blockposters.com and see if that would help. It would be a DIY project (you can make a large print on 8.5 x 11 paper, multiple pages, for free) but not difficult and not expensive..................P
