**Postcards needed for Special Education classroom project! Only 14 more states!**

Hi there. I did a similar activity with my kids years back with "Flat Stanley" to see how many places they could send Stanley. This is a great idea for the kids....love it!! I know you are looking for just the different States, but would love to send one from Ontario, Canada if Hank is so inclined to drive north on his trip :)

I bought my Texas postcard today and will put it in the mail tomorrow.

I'm from the state of Maryland, I'll be glad to drop one in the mail tomorrow. Last time I helped out with this project I purchased several postcards. When the project is complete make sure you take a photo and post it, would love to see the finished project.

What about from Canada? Does that count? Let me know! I think that is a great idea!

As a former Special Edcuation Teaching Assistant, I can send one from PA. I will stop by the card store at the mall tomorrow and send it out on Friday.

I'll be sending out one from Oklahoma tomorrow!!! Got it all ready to go in the mail tomorrow.

Too bad it's a road trip, otherwise I'd send you one from Barbados!

Edited to add:

What the heck! I'll send one from Barbados anyway!

Sending from Barrow Alaska---the northern most point of the US. Will send it out tomorrow. Enjoy!

Can you tell me how many kids are in the class in case I find some little trinket to represent Louisiana?

I'm surprised to see GA hasn't been claimed yet.

I'll send one from Georgia!!!

Canada is very welcome. We don't live too far away from there, so that would be great!

So cool! I know they have a big map of the United States hanging up, but perhaps Barbados is on the far side of the map. If not, I'm sure they could make a space for it. Thanks!!!!! :yay:

Thank you for all of the great replies so far. My husband plans on introducing 1-2 postcards per day and they will move the car with Hank in it to those states on those days.

For those who have asked, Canada and other areas not in the United States are welcome, of course. I believe that he has a world map in his classroom, so although they may not be able to go on the US map, he point out the country on the world map and they could determine if it is accessible by road.

Also, once the project is finished, I will make sure to post a picture. Once some postcards have been received, I will make a list on the opening post so that we don't receive several from the same state.

Thank you to everyone who is participating! The kids are really, really excited about this project.
