Postcards and Year of a Million Dreams?

I know at WDW people are sending in postcards for the Year of a Million Dreams. Is this the same at DL? What do the postcards help you win? I have heard of people randomly winning things in the parks, but just wondered what the postcards were for? Does anyone have the address to send them to? Thanks for the info!

Yes, I have been trimming the postcards. Not too sure if that makes a difference or not since others reported not trimming and still winning. The key I guess is to try and do it as often as possible. When it first started, I was doing it daily except for Sundays and holidays. Around Dec, when the holidays began I was less frequent, maybe twice a week if at all. We didn't start recieving prizes 'til the begining of the year (jan '07) and they were postmarked Dec 28, 29, & 30 and some early jan. Since receiving the prizes I have begun being diligent about mailing them off every possible day. We've spent about $70 in postcards thus far.

Minimum size the post office will accept is 3 1/2" X 5".

According to the rules of the contests that is what disney wants. I don't think they are enforcing it too strictly though.

How do you find out that you win - do they send the prize in the mail or call you??

The little prizes(ears and lanyards w/pins) are mailed. The ears are in a box while the lanyards w/pins are in a padded envelope. For bigger prizes, I'm assuming they'll call and send a letter notifying the winner of the prize won.

Well, I started writing them out... only ten days after I said I would... Boy is that tiring! But it is super cool to enter a contest like this! I have never done this before! I'm excited!

Yes we also started doing this! We only bought a handful for both boys and mail "a letter to Mickey" every few days. If they have been really good, we write them out, walk to the mail box and send them off to "Mickey's house". They think that is sooo coooooollll!!! I really hope we win the pin set so they can get started on trading!
