Postcard quandry

Has anybody ever been in this situation?

I'm booked for 9 days at WL, Courtyard View from Dec. 6-14. Just a few days ago, I got a postcard for a MYW package - 5 days, 4 nights, free tickets, free dining - for dates the week after I get back. I could really use the free dining portion of the package because it's going to be tough already coming up with some money for food for the week. I'm hoping to get my room ressie paid off next month. I don't know if they'll allow me to use the package part of the week and allow me to pay for the other 4 days myself. Is it possible that Disney will allow me to use it the postcard code the week I'm there? I'll need to call my TA to make the changes. This is my first time using a TA and I'm nervous that if I'm allowed to do this, they'll have to cancel the first ressie and rebook it (I'm afraid that when they go back in to make a new ressie, all the rooms will be booked up and I can't get back in for the week). Too make things worse, Disney won't talk to me except thru my TA and if there's a problem, I can't check on it directly. Anyway, is it possible that I can even use the postcard code?

I don't believe the code will be applied to the week you have booked if those aren't dates included on the postcard. (I think that was part of your question, but it wasn't clear to me.)

Also any good TA would not cancel an existing reservation before they made the new one.
