Postcard from WDW!! (Julie & Susan) UPDATED - Lots of great pics!!

How long did you wait to get into Beach & Cream Julie? I've heard that the wait can be long because the restaurant isn't very big.

I read on the restaurants board that someone asked their waiter to separate all the toppings from their Kitchen Sink. Then after they finished the ice cream, they took their toppings back to their hotel ... Still seems like a a ton of food though... :p Maybe one day when I go with more people!

If I remember correctly, Vicky, I think we sat outside for just a few minutes, until they had a table ready for us inside. Just avoid the main meal times and you should be okay.

When I've gone during cooler times, (October, March Break) I've also taken my strawberry sundae (my favourite) and gone and sat on a swing on the beach, rather than sit inside.

That seems odd that the cm would separate the toppings. That kind of ruins the whole idea of "kitchen sink", I would think.

Kim......I always had a thing for Bobby Sherman too.:D
You should have seem me at Epcot one Mother's Day when we had 2nd row seats to see Davy Jones! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Cindy, I think the man in the pic is eyeing the Babes, not the dessert. ;)

I was more of a Mickey Dolenz fan myself....:o :p

Great picture, ladies! ::yes::

I've been to B&C several times (have to have my banana milkshake), and I think the longest wait was 30 minutes. :)

I think the man in the picture thought we were nuts when he saw the CM bring that humungus thing over to us. LOL Probably had never seen the Kitchen Sink dessert before.

I enjoy listening to all the old music at POP Century especially when they play the old Beatle classics. I can't help but sing along........ "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you, remember I'll always be true..........." I carried a torch for Paul for years! Those were the days for me!

We need more pictures of this vacation---pleasssse:)

You asked ;) :

Here's what was left of the kitchen sink when we were done:

BTW...the man looking at us in the other picture was actually telling me he wished they had ordered a kitchen sink ::yes::.

Here's a pic of the Share A Dream Come True Parade taken from the railroad station...I waited 2.5 hours for the parade to start so we could finally watch it from there...something I've always wanted to do. Of course DD (Lisa) & Julie got to browse Main Street while I cooked in the heat.
:charac2:
;) I actually chatted with a retired Disney CM for most of the wait so it was actually very interesting and time went by quickly.

Here we are towards the end of our trip with our Mickey Bars (we asked a friendly CM to take it for us):

I'll re-size some more & post them...any special requests? We took over 2500 pictures so if there's something you'd like to see at WDW...we probably have it. ;)

Here are a few more:

We didn't get any towel animals but housekeeping did some cute things at both the POFQ & POP...here's what we found one day when we returned to our room at the POFQ:

And one day when we returned to our room at POP:

Eeyore and his three DIS Babes ;) :

Just keep making us look beautiful, Susan! ;)

Eeyore was so cute when he signed my autograph book, before this picture. He played around at peeking at the front of my book for my name and luckily I had it filled in, so he signed his name "to julie", backwards "e", of course. We saw "Eeyore" again at CP, for dinner on our last day and he only stopped long enough for a picture with Lisa. I was sad about that. :(

Our monorail drivers posing after our complete loop of the resort monorail (riding up front):

We waited a while to get this shot of the monorail and Spaceship Earth:

Bored yet?...tell me when to stop. ;)

We saw "Eeyore" again at CP on another day and he only stopped long enough for a picture with Lisa. I was sad about that.
Poor Julie...it was tough me being the only adult on the trip. ;)

I'm posting the pics and Julie is posting the commentary. ;)

And a great job you're both doing!!! LOL....

Love the peek at the POFQ room!! ::yes:: Pics of guys in shorts, eh? :smooth:

Really, these are excellent! :)

These are great. I love the animals in the curtain at POP.

Bored-NEVER- bring em on.

Hmmm...what to say about this: while Lisa & Julie rode The Mummy, I enjoyed the scenery. ;) :

I have to admit I had a great time with the characters this trip. I think we all did, actually. ::yes::

We were on the monorail long enough to go through a shift change ;) as Lisa wanted to video the whole resort loop starting from the TTC. We finally got off at the GF, I think to some raised eyebrows from others waiting to ride up front. The monorail drivers were great though and didn't mind at all, how long we stayed on. We got our Co-Pilots' licenses too.

Ahhhh, our room at POFQ! This was right before we moved our cavalry of suitcases in. ;) The CM at check in was sooo nice and patient in finding us the perfect location. It really was a "deluxe" room to us, the new furnishings were beautiful.

Funny thing about the Character Caravan here, was that Susan had just been telling me how, on their October trip last year, they had been walking along and out it came and stopped right by them. We couldn't believe our eyes, when out it came again and stopped right by US!! Perfect timing or what! Just one of the many magical moments we had on this trip. We got some great pictures with the characters!

   Seeing the pictures again is one thing, but hearing you describe it all makes me miss it so much...I wanna go back. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Aha, now the truth is out!! The REAL reason you didn't want to go on The Mummy ride with us! While we were whizzing through the pyramid at break-neck speed, YOU were outside enjoying the sights! ;)
