Postcard codes....

Has anyone received a postcard with a code or called CRO & they found one next to your name since July 3rd? We leave in less than 3 weeks & thought I would try & call one more time.

I just got one in the mail today. Value resorts from $77* per night
* rate valid most nights 8/28 - 10/4; 11/27 - 12/19

I know it's pretty much what's advertised on the WDW website, but thought it odd that they'd send us a postcard with the name "Kids" listed (which, for those interested I had used for ordering the travel DVD)

I'm looking to book another trip Oct. 19-23. Given the postcard you received yesterday which did not extend the discount offer between Oct. 5 - November 26th, do you feel that there just won't be any discounted offered during that time frame?

I was hoping someone who might have more insight to your questions would take over and answer, but obviously no one has...

I know the Epcot food & wine festival will be going on during the time frame you mentioned, which makes it seem as though Disney is having little trouble booking rooms. AAA may be the only discount available if they have any rooms left at that rate. Good luck!

I have received two postcards this year and one since July 3rd. Both have been at the unbelievable rate of...get this....wait for it....you won't believe it....here it comes.....RACK! This last one was for the holiday season offering value resorts. It actually said "A special offer for your family". Apparently, we aren't that special! I'll be surprised if great post card rates come out before the end of the year. Free Dining or call-in AP rates, that's another story. Good luck with your code hunt.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go ahead and make a reservation now and if any offer comes out try to apply it to the existing reservation. We're all going down for my Mom's 70th B'day and I don't want to take a chance and wait and not be able to get a room.

I think I read one time a while back that other dates and hotels were available at different rates, even though they weren't listed on the postcard. So a value may be available in Oct/Nov but the rate would be higher than the one listed on the card, because that time is regular season instead of value.
