Is it today or tomorrow? I haven't received my mail today yet, but I thought I read the strike was tomorrow?

It's from 7 pm tonight till 7 pm tomorrow night.

It is tomorrow.

Maybe you haven't had any?
I'm expecting three packages which were sent by special delivery yesterday. Despite the Royal Mail's incompetence, I would hope at least one of them would make it through to me by the specified time.

oh am getting worried now am still waiting for my flex and disney tickets :sad1: were getting them off thomas cook tho and thats who we booked with and its registerd delivery so hopefully they will be no issues

I'm waiting for holiday tickets too - we leave next week. Maybe it's my fault for leaving it so late, but the postal system in this country is an absolute disgrace. People will probably disagree with me here, but at the end of the day the postal workers can either accept that Royal Mail is going to modernise and jobs are going to be lost (like in any industry that has huge potential for modernisation and competition), or they can continue striking, losing their pay and almost certainly resulting in a much bumpier ride.

Maybe you should be blaming TA's for not sending out tickets early enough to allow for the strike. I don't agree the postal system is a disgrace in this country, none of their competitors will deliver to ALL address in the country, they cherry pick. And the postal worker who lives in this house accepts the job and the money that goes with it and has chosen not to strike, so don't tar everyone with the same brush. Apparently the bosses at the local delivery office have been out delivering today, it is believed to be the special delivery items, the regular delivery people who turned up for work stayed in the office to sort whatever was available. Also do you realise that the competition hands over their 'cheaper' mail to Royal Mail to deliver anyway RM are forced by the regulator to deliver these items at a loss making price. I really hope your mail turns up on time, we all have periods when waiting for that 'important' piece of mail. Me, I am waiting for my sons autistic diagnosis - puts things in perspective.

Our postie is really cool. Rain or shine he is in his shorts and if it rains he puts his poncho on ;) Not a Mickey one though.

I'm not a fan of the Royal Mail either, but that's another story. Hope you get your mail soon. :wizard:

I thought it was today. I am expecting my wage slip. I always get my flexi (extra shifts) pay slip every Friday. So far nothing. Not one single letter :confused3
