I'm thinking about mailing out the holiday cards today and I have 100 regular stamps, you know the ones with the flag. Is it tacky to use those or do I need to go out in the cold and buy holiday stamps?

Yes, it gets cold in California, it's 40 out. Brr...

:confused3 I never buy special stamps for cards. Hope no one thinks I am tacky. I say use what you have. If they think it's tacky, that's their problem.
At least they get a CARD!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

yeah it gets cold up there :cold:

personally I would venture out, but I coordinate my stamps. If you aren't sending your cards for another week or so, you can order from usps.com and have them delivered.

Ultimately I have found that most people don't pay attention to the stamp, at least my circle doesn't.

Stamps are going up to $0.39 sometime in January. You'd better use those up, or you'll be buying 100 $0.02 stamps. :(

I forgot all about that, thanks for the reminder.

Naaah. Don't worry about it.

I'm much more interested in the card and the sentiments expressed therein than I am in scrutinizing the stamps. :)

I always use the Flag stamps, they are the only ones my PO sells in rolls.

Am I on your Christmas Card list? :rotfl:

Definitely use the stamps you already have!

Postage is postage and since you have 100 flag stamps on hand I would use them. I personally like to get the holiday stamps, but certainly wouldn't if I already had stamps. Besides as mentioned stamps are increasing....January 8th.

Thanks everyone, flag stamps it is.

You never know, some Dis'ers may be on my card list.

Do I have your address EthansMom?

That's okay...save your stamps. With the price increases, you'll be needing all of the savings you can get! But thanks for thinking of me!

Personally, I'm keeping track of which people send me cards this year and may be trimming the card list next year. I'll still send to all of the older friends and relatives who love to hear from us, but may not have the time and energy to send us a card. But I'm thinking that any peers who haven't sent us cards for a few years in a row may need to get removed from our list. Then, I might have enough time to write longer letters to my Grandmas.

If you do venture out to the post office for stamps, I recommend the Disney stamps. They are so cute. I use them on all of my mail. :earsboy:
