Thought I would start a thread of how much you spent for a Taxi ride.

I always spent 20.00 going anywhere from Pop this last May.

It ranged about 15.70 to 17.00 and I left the rest for tip. It was easy just to keep some 20s in my purse and take them out as needed.

I think this is a great idea! If possible, could anyone who posts also specify if they know what taxi company they used? I've heard that there are so many prices differences, depending on the company, that I'm really curious if anyone else has noticed this too. Thank you OP for starting this and I hope you don't think I'm trying to hijack your thread.

We were told the only taxi company allowed to go to WDW resorts to pick up guests is Mears. From the airport/parks to resorts is another story.

It cost us $15 to go from the BC to OKW in April.

I still can't believe some people will actually go the bus to DTD and then wait to get on another bus to BW usually taking an hour or more total. It is a little over 6 bucks and 5 minutes of your time to take a cab!! LOL

Oooh good thread, thanks for posting! We have an early breakfast scheduled at Kona on a non-EMH day at Epcot and MK and we're staying at POFQ. Do you call the taxi or go to the front desk and ask them to do it for you? How far in advance do you have to call ahead?

We took a cab from AKL to the Poly in December and it was $20 including tip. I would imagine it would be about that to AKL from MK, but I guess you have to go to the TTC to get a cab? Maybe go to a monorail hotel and get a cab from there?

We recently got back what we did was get Disney bus to dtd (FREE) and then crossed over road near the entrance to DTD the marketplace at the crossroads where traffic meets we got a Lynx bus No 50 which I think are half hourly and got that to the stop after Seaworld Entrance and then caught a number 8 to International Drive total cost $4 all day go anywhere trip each under 6 free, or instead of catching number 8 you could get on a I trolley up International Drive there go from same place you catch number 8.

I guess bus number 50 is the one to catch for disney world. I will be taking a grayhound bus to orlando then I hope to catch a bus to the all star music.

We will be staying at POR. I am considering using a cab for our ADR at Boma and ADR for breakfast at CP. Anyone have any idea on rates to AKL and MK from POR? Also do you need to have the front desk call you a cab or are there usually cabs waiting?
