Post your SW rates!

We got RT flights for $231/person(incl. taxes and fees) for Easter week.:cool1: This is from Cleveland to MCO non-stop, 3/23 and 3/30. Very happy with this - after looking at fares for months now I thought we were going to have to drive.

Wow! That is scary. I was a bit surprised at how high the prices were from MDW. My dates haven't been released yet May 15-20, but I am worried. Airtran has $99 each way right now and I am tempted to go ahead and book. I am thinking that SW wont release the rest of May until January. I will not be amused if the fares open high again and the $99 Airtran is gone.

I would go and book AirTran. Just having the assigned seat is worth it to me. There is so much stress flying SW with a family, especially now with all the changes to boarding!!

OMG and OUCH...Mar 22-28....R/T from Chi....to Orlando $355.00..I need 5 tickets....I just couldnt do it.......must regroup.......

April 12 with return on April 20 BUF to MCO about $350 per person. I am not happy with it because I had it at $250 but the system kept shutting me out, once I stopped trying to enter my $80 credit the flight booked with no problem. My issue is of course that I now still have an $80 credit!
I really don't like watching flight prices go up before my very eyes! Anyway I have the flights I wanted, to and from where I wanted them and I guess compared to the $822 I was finding the $350 is a bargain. Maybe if some dings come out for the less favorable flights I can make some changes and then rather than do the family roadtrip in July I guess we could fly--personally I wouldn't mind not driving!
To make it all work out in the budget I'll just drop the day at Seaworld, and dinner at Jiko.

$250 RT from NY
Travel dates 4/18-4/29.

We have to leave a day early as the fares on the 19th were $189 one way.

So for the 5 of us I paid $1250 with tax. Alot more than I am used to but not paid for Passover week.

:cool1: If I would have flown at the crack of dawn both ways, I probably could have brought it down to about $960.

I do not mind getting up at the crack of dawn to fly down but do not want to do it coming back. I need to ease my way out of WDW.

Ouch!

$441 RT Manchester NH to Los Angles
4/25-5/4

Crazy!

I just booked SW for $99.00 per person/per way Cleveland-Orlando
Mar 23-30:cool1:

That isn't much different from what I found for Detroit for that same timeframe. Plus all of the flights from DTW have at least one or more stops. I can get a direct flight from DTW on NWA for $350. I'm not a big fan of SW, but was waiting to see how they compare to the other airlines. Right now NWA is looking the best option. Though I think Frontier is cheaper, it isn't a nonstop. Oh well. I have time. Hopefully the rates will go down.

ALB-MCO
8-14 March
$438 RT

Had to book Business fare for the trip down, otherwise we'd have lost a day. That fare sounds pretty horrid, right? Well...multiply it by NINE. (would be 11, but used RR credits for 2 RT)

Detroit to Orlando $133.40 (w/fees) on 4/5/08.
Orlando to Detroit $186.40 (w/fees) on 4/12/08.

Grand total for 2 of us $639.60. Could have saved $40 if we flew back 5 hours earlier in the day, but 5 hours at WDW is worth $40 to me.

I checked NWA and other carriers to compare RT tickets are running from $450 to over $600, so I'm generally pleased. Also, my SWA flights are nonstop.

When I first logged in I had the $129 down for the 3 of us but between talking to DH to figure out whether or not we should come back Sat. night or Sunday AM I lost out! Wound up getting $152 down and $211 return. Hey, it is still less then what we paid last year!!! And WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! YAHOOO!:wizard: :goodvibes

Luck Luck and More Luck to everyone!

auhh what a day with sw....

anyway we booked my dd at $110 going down from islip
and we had credits from sw so we had to do 4 seperate
bookings:eek: .

me, dh and ds got in at $120 down to orlando.

going home i could only get a fare for $189 which i booked
and was NOT happy about. so then i thought why not another
airport:idea: so now we got a credit for all 4 of us
and we are flying out at tampa on an 8:15 pm flight (we got
tampa at $110 each way much better than $189).

we are coming off the magic from a cruise so we will drive over to
disney world (pays to have tickets already:thumbsup2 ) and spend
the day and leave and then drive to the airport from there.

Similar situation here, had $89 MHT-MCO(evening flight) when they opened, after about 5 minutes of considering a late flight on arrival day, they went to $104 and then $121, by the time I could get my cc info in.:confused3
This is school vacation week so needed to travel on the weekend.

Disappointed with my self for hesitating but within a few hours of opening, my exact flights have gone to $170 and $190. So I guess I am ok with it.

Now to change my ressie with Disney for the first night. No way are we spending $400 at the Poly when we will be lucky to arrive by 11:00PM. Guess we will grab a room at Pop for that first night and transfer to Poly in the am.

We usually get to Orlando by 11:00 in the AM not PM:laughing:

Good luck to everyone else looking for airfare.

ETA: this is in reference to post #32, I guess I type slow

i found sw very frustrating today, my neck is still killing me from the stress:sad2:

1st time booking SW on the day they released the fares, I was not really not prepared for it, but wow what a rush!!!

I lost the 1st N/S flight @ $112?? but caught the next flight 1 stop, at about $134 all in a matter of 5 minutes, $170 comming back for $315 p/p incd taxes etc. from april 20 -27th ---Grand Total for 4 of us: $1260.80 :scared:

I can't believe people are having so many problems! :O
I just looked again, and my flights are still available, at $104.

Booked PVD-MCO for early February for 5 of us at $959 total last week...Was watching for awhile and all of a sudden on a Wednesday, total dropped about $150 overall, so I grabbed it. This rounded out to be $79/pp down and $92/pp back home. Now all I need is a DING! as a credit would be nice for our next trip in October when we go on the Magic!
