Received today: Up to 35% Off resort stay (lots of dates for winter & spring + mid-Aug thru late Sept) OR free dining for travel now - March 5.
We were just there last summer, so its not in the budget for us this year, but boy this makes another trip tempting!
Is there a place to enter the pin on the diwney website?
Just got the email today for the room discount pin and booked our September/October trip. I had to add 3 days onto our trip to since the last day was 9/27 and we weren't planning on leaving until 9/29 but I don't think anyone will be upset I'm making us spend 3 more days in the world!
ETA: This pin is not a "check in by ___ date" it is strictly for travel dates. Since we are traveling the week after the window closes, the deal was only valid for the night of the 27th and we had to pay full rack rate for the remaining days. Once I did the math I knew something wasn't right so I called back and clarified. I got my hopes up for nothing!
Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think traditionally Room Only PINS (and general discounts) are strictly for travel dates. Free Dining goes by check-in date. So room only discounts you get only for the nights that fall within the offer dates. Free Dining is good for your whole stay, as long as you check in during the offer dates.

I'd like to get an idea of what sorts of PIN offers are out there right now and how far out the dates go. If you copy and paste email information, be sure to delete your actual PIN code before posting (although I'm pretty sure no one else can use a PIN code designated to a specific person). Here's one my mom got the other day:
Save up to 35%
on stays at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
For stays most nights
1/3-3/5/14, 3/14-3/22/14, 3/30-4/12/14, 4/21-5/31/14
and
8/17-9/27/14.
The number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited. Length-of-stay requirements may apply. Savings based on the non-discounted price for the same room. 35% savings for select Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts; lower savings for other Resorts.
I'm ready to ask the lamest question in the history of questions. Is a PIN code a 15-digit number? Because if so I just got one in my email and am definitely freaking the heck out with joy!
It is!!!! Congrats![]()
No one is really sure how Disney determines who receives a PIN when. My fingers and toes are crossed for either a PIN or a deal for our late July/early August trip.
But I HAVE received PINs that I've applied to trips already booked. Both times the PIN came from Disney Destinations... I think in 2008 it was snail mail and 2012 may have been email.
So, in your shoes, I wouldn't change my reservation-- just start praying to the PIN/ code gods that you get something.
My sister got the double pin yesterday. Not the right dates but she seems to be the lucky one so hope she gets another one for our dates.
