Turkey leg (no, it's not an emu leg):

Ah you read that thread too! I nearly fell off my seat laughing at that but nobody else seemed to find it as funny as I did when I tried to explain.

By the way, I love your photos, I adore desserts so your photos of sugary goodness is my idea of heaven!

Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Lodge (dinner):

Start with mixed greens with apple vinaigrette dressing, fresh baked corn bread. Move on to smoked pork ribs, canyon pulled pork, oven-roasted chicken, pork sausage, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, cowboy beans, creamy cole slaw and corn on the cob:

I don't know what each individual ones are but from allearsnet:
Apple Brown Betty
Passion Fruit Orange Guava Mousse
Caramel-Banana Creme Brulee
Kiddie Kone
Kilauea Torte
White Chocolate Cheesecake
Chocolate Macadamia Nut Tar

I can figure out which one is the Kiddie Kone and the Creme Brulee but I have no idea of the other ones. Maybe someone here can help? I didn't get any of the desserts - those were what was on display at the dessert bar.

I'll definitely be sampling desserts though this Sept because we just booked ourselves a trip with the free dining plan!!! Woo Hoo! Another food trip! :rotfl:

OogieBoogie,

Thanks for the heads up on the dress code at Shula's...I can get both DH and DS there if they don't have to do the jacket thing...khaki's and a polo is not a problem...and heck the khaki shorts is a must in both of their wardrobes.

BTW...your photos are great...very clear and crisp. I think after looking at yours I want to do a trip just to eat my way around WDW in snacks alone!!!!

I don't reccomend getting this for take out if you care about presentation. We ordered this in April and it was handed to me in a clear plastic container, slopped all over the bottom. Sure wasn't very eye appealing. Granted, I'm not sure how it should look for take out, but I bet they could come up with something better. ;)

Disclaimer: We didn't eat here this trip but I was waiting in line for HDDR and DH told me to get pics for future reference for us, so I did in like 2 minutes flat. So excuse the quality of the pics.

In September, we'll be on the dining plan :teeth: all those desserts and appetizers!!!!

Oogieboogie,

You are too funny! Taking pictures of the Trail's End buffet BUT not eating there!!! :rotfl: My family would have abandoned me long before that picture taking escapade!

Thanks,
penny

Ooooooo.... those chocolate croissants are SOOO good!!! I had one almost every morning for breakfast while I was at WDW (and it shows) :rotfl2:

OOGIEBOOGIE this Forum is yours!!!! Your posts were great. I can't wait for our next trip. My daughter is getting Married In WDW this January and we are going down for a tasting in October. If they allow I'll take pics and post.

Wow, I finally got through this whole thread...yes, all 50 pages :earseek:
What a great way to kill an afternoon!
I;m starting to think that my whole purpose in going to Disney next time is just to eat! You mean theres more to do in WDW then eat?....lol

Okay, well, heres my contribution to the board. Hope to have plenty of more pics from my next trip. O by the way, I am glad to see that others do take pics of there food. The first time I tried it, DH said I was a hill billy!

Disney Wedding cake from the Grand Floridian bakery

From Cinderella's Royal Table: Bread and on the left is the Bibbidi bobbidi boo drink with a mickey straw...very tastey. (and we got to keep the mug)

Also at CRT: Our appetizer-Prosciutto and Fresh Mozzarella (beefsteak tomates with balsamic glaze and hummus garnish)

Our Entree at CRT: on the left- Spice crusted Ahi Tuna with tomato fennel relish and canneli mash. On the right- Roasted chicken breast with garlic and red onion marmalade and mash potatoes. Normally it is served with some kind of noodles, but our waiter noticed that I wasn't eating it and offered me mashed potatoes instead.

We also got CRT toasting glasses here because they somehow knew we were getting married at Disney!

Volcano dessert at Spirit of Aloha.

I have a few questions for some of you who posted about CRT. When I was there last time 9/04, I noticed that some people had these large salads, and I wished that I had ordered that instead. Well, I thought maybe it was the Ceasr Salad since that is what was on the menu, but they certainly did not look like the pics of the ceasr salads that were posted on this thread. Does CRT offer any other types of salads? Also what was that yellow think that looked like a nacho in the salad?

Another question. Why is the Slipper Dessert at GF more expensive then the one at CRT? The one at CRT does look a little different and doesn't look as if it gives you that extra little cup of chocolate on the side.

oogieboogie - You're killing me! Your pictures ate fantastic, and now I am STARVING! Thanks for sharing all those pictures with us. It's so much fun to see them before we arrive. :goodvibes
