Sorry. Got to disagree with you. looked again closer and with his hand touching the berries and how wide his hand is he is NO WAY using tongs. So I stand by my original YUCKY

For the record, the person getting strawberries was using tongs - he handed them to me right after he used them! (mmmm... strawberries! :teeth: )

If you really DO look closely Toyman70, you can see the silver under the thumb.

Unfortunately, people do use hands, but in this case, I'd take lawyergirls word for it too.

Great photos Lawyergirl! I am sad I have over 15 months to go. Gee, people have children closer than 15 months apart...

Just a thought...some threads (like the new snack items; official going in August thread, etc.) have an updated 1st post with the items. I know I saw on here the compiled post with photos of specific restaurants and the corresponding page. Do you think we (as my DH would say, "We...do you have a frog in your pocket?" ) could do that as well for this thread? The person who originally posted this would need to be able to do that to edit her first thread though (don't know how much work it would be).

:sunny: Hey ,Can someone tell me wher Sunshine seasons is located ??
Is it in epcott ?? I am starving. I am going to have to plan a trip to Disneyworld just for eating.

I had suggested that when I first posted the list of restaurants and what pages the photos were on, that the OP add it to her first post, but I don't think we have ever seen her back here???

Sunshine Seasons is located in Epcot, in the Land pavilion where Soarin', Living with the Land, and the Circle of Life film are. It is a great place to eat with many choices.

Maybe send an PM. She still posts on the boards.

The person isn't using his hands. If you look close, you can see the the tongs in his hand.

I just went through all 253 pages of this thread.
I'm so hungry now.

Can't wait to go back.

I would share my pictures but all my disney pictures are in florida with my mother rather than my laptop up here. :(

Actually, IMHO, it looks like he is *reaching* for the tongs which have unfortunately been dropped into the middle of the strawberries. Not his fault as far as I know. These things do happen. :goodvibes

Lawyergirl,

From one Canadian to another...THANK YOU...for putting Canada on the map! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Love the pictures! Keep them coming! There are a lot of us living vicariously through you and your pictures now! :cloud9:

Actually, you're the one who's wrong. The tongs can clearly be seen in the photo.

But that's okay. If you swear off of buffets, it just means more for me, right? :teeth:

J.C.&ALI'SMOM, your food pics might well be the best I've yet seen on this thread!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thank you, so, so much for taking the time to post them! :goodvibes

I stand corrected.I now see he's reaching for the fallen tongs (don't know how I missed it before?). Still nasty though.I am sorry. It still freaks me out.

Great pic's Lawyergirl. Was the raglan road breading pudding served with anything other than that pot of liquid?
Looks awesome. And was it better than 'Ohana bread pudding?(if you ate there)

I am actually giggling at the conversation in here about the tongs, because we even made a comment to each other about the unfortunate location of the tongs when he handed them to me. Hee!!! :lmao: Wish I could find the guy again and tell him about the aftermath!!

The bread pudding had two pots with it - a pot of super thick "Crème Anglaise" (English Cream - thick, kind of custardy) and the dark "caramel" sauce. It was actually more of a buttery caramel than anything I've ever had - pretty runny, but it absorbed into the bread soooo well!!! I almost drank the sauce on its own - it was *that* good!!!

As for comparison to Ohana... Hmmm... I would rank them both about equally, in spite of their very different flavours (and I LOVE Ohana's bread pudding - I'm kicking myself for my resolution this trip NOT to repeat any meals except for Boma for dinner :sad2: ) However, if you love ice cream, then Ohana's may get the edge.

And now, in order to avoid polluting the purity of the food pics, here are some new shots from breakkie this morning at the Kona Café, and a light lunch at Columbia Harbor House.

(OT Note: If you haven't done the Keys to the Kingdom Tour yet, DO IT!!! I was worried it would ruin the Magic, but it is now right up there with my special memories of WDW!! So very cool! )

Kona Café - press pot of coffee and cranberry juice (DH loathes coffee - freak!)
DSCN2474.jpg

Kona Café - side order of fruit (Tonga Toast has fewer calories that way.. :rotfl: )
DSCN2475.jpg

Tonga Toast with bacon - outside (This was sooooooooo good! First time having Tonga Toast and I may have started an addiction!!)

Tonga Toast - inside

Big Kahuna Breakkie

Columbia Harbour House - Hummus and Broccoli Slaw sandwich (YUM!!)
DSCN2479.jpg

Columbia Harbour House - Tuna sandwich with a side of carrots (DH only grudgingly gave me a bite - it was REALLY good!!)

We are eating again at 'Ohanas (the best pudding) I hope raglan allows takeout of the bread pudding, for I need to try it.Thanks for the comparison.
Curious what camera (make & model) did you use.And if you know what setting ( mode & flash mode)
Thanks

I saw plenty of people do takeout when we were there, but given the setup of the dessert, it may be tricky to replicate the texture if the bread has been given a chance to sit (and harden). If your schedule allows it, try popping in later at night for a pint and/or dessert. The atmosphere was excellent with the live music!

As for my camera - I find that flash mode is the best way to capture the texture and colour of the food (case in point - the blurry picture of the salad from WCC was taken without flash). My camera is a Nikon coolpix 4300 and I use the "normal quality" setting for my pics.
