The costume I bought just came in on Saturday. I'm going as Belle in her blue dress. I can't wait. Now I'm just trying to find an inexpensive clip on ponytail for it. My 6 year old niece tells me my hair isn't long enough to be Belle! I'm just trying to improve it a bit for her! LOL:laughing:

We'll be at the Sept. 14th MNSSHP - this will be my first one! :cool1:

We wanted costumes that:

1. The whole group could wear,

2. Wouldn't be too hot or too bulky,

3. Wouldn't cost an arm or a leg... SO...

Welcome to our PUMPKIN PATCH!

I also travel with a little Happy Meal Jack Sparrow (and this year I have Stunt Doubles for him), so I made them costumes for that night, too.

They are SNOW WHITE, CINDERELLA, AND TINKERBELL!

We are going 10/18. DS is going as a pirate - I bought the disney online pirate with the glow-in-the-dark bones. I think it is going to be too hot so I will probably let him wear the hat w/dreads, cut off some old jeans and a pirate vest /t-shirt. DD has cinderella, but I may surprise her by upgrading her BBB to include a new "Disney World" princess costume. I was thinking about going as Snow White as you can see I am a fan. I've talked myself out of it b/c I 've read so much about cm's giving guests a hard time about not taking photo's or signing autographs. I think I will goes as "the Queen" with a crown and a t-shirt (oops I let out a letter the first time!) that says something like "Queen of my own world". DH is not in to costumes and will be wearing a "this is my costume" t-shirt.

DS6 will be going as Capt. Jack Sparrow. No one else to dressing up this year, just wearing some Disney halloween-themed t-shirts. :hippie:

Wow, thank you all for sharing all your suggestions, this is a great thread! I was planning on just going as myself to the Halloween Party, but I think now I may change my mind!

I will be Elizabeth from POTC, my daughter will be a High School Musical Cheerleader and I don't know what my friend is going as:)

BRILLIANT!!!!! :rotfl:

I've never had the luck of going to a MNSSHP, hopefully someday I will, but I love reading this thread for costume ideas.

Last year I was Tinkerbell for just normal Halloween :P (not Mickey involved)
it was a home-made costume. (because good luck finding a tink costume anywhere that'll fit an 18 year old!)
here's a photo

i had little white shoes too with bows made out of some leftover green material.

All I did was buy a little white dress at Wal-Mart and then some sheer, sparkly lime-green fabric at Fabricland, and I sewed the fabric onto the dress.
And the wings were really cheap from some costume store. :goodvibes

If I ever get the chance to go to MNSSHP, I'll definatley have to bust out that costume again.

The family is dressing up as the Scooby Doo group.... Wife is Thelma, DD (6) is Daphne, DD (3) is Scooby, DS is Fred and I will be Shaggy... Kids are excited...

Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tink for last year's Halloween party...

Peter Pan and I wore the same ensemble to the Pirate and Princess Party, but used the little clip-on light-up Tink from Pirate's Punch for our Tink! We clipped her to Peter's shoulder... Soooo cute!

Just finished our costumes and here they are. I am not in the pic, but my outfit is just like my 6year old DS, including fro :thumbsup2

The material used in the bottom of my DW's pants and the bell bottom of my DS and my pants and our bandannas are a Disney Halloween Pattern.

Hope you like.

DD6 is getting Boutiqued for our first MNSSHP - she thinks she will choose Jasmine I might bring my Fairy God Mother costume from when she was Cinderella at home.

for 10/31 we are a family of 3 tigers. I am making tiger stripe pants & t-shirts. We found the ears, but haven't found any tails yet - I bought Halloween garland at the dollar store & might use that. I would post pictures but I am still working on it! I couldn't find tiger stripe material and had to stamp on the stripes myself. Up to the sewing part now...

I'm going as Snow White and my fiance is going to be a Roman soldier.

I LOVE my Snow White costume. It was one of those "one size fits all" costumes, so I took it to a seamstress and got it altered to a perfect fit. And I found the best wig.

I'm a bit worried though. I am going to be riding the bus from OKW to MK and if there are small children on the bus, I don't want them getting their hopes up that I am the "real" Snow White. Little kids might not be able to tell the difference between my knock off costume and an actual Disney World costume. I'm sure their parents will set them straight though...don't worry, I don't have plans to do pictures or do autographs :)

In any event, we'll be there Thursday, October 4th. If you see us, come say hi!

How'd things go finding a prince costume? I'm going to be at the same party so I'll have to keep my eyes open in case I wander across snow white and her prince.

I'll be the Belle in her blue dress with red/blonde hair. I considered coloring my hair back to it's natural brown shade before the party but decieded against it. I did buy one of those clip on ponytails though as my 6 year old niece told me my short hair wasn't cutting it as Belle. Any Dissers see me say Hi!

I'm just finishing up my mom's costume now. She'll be Annette Funicelleo from her Mickey Mouse Club days, I'm going as one of those Corpse guys, similar to those seen in the MNSSHP parade, but a bit spookier.

My costume looks awesome, I was so happy with how it turned out and can't wait!

Two weeks ago I wore Lederhosen, (the real mcoy not a costume), my wife was a poodle skirt girl, my teenager was tiger lily, and my shorty was a leopard.

I went as a witch for my first MNSHP trip, when I was their I saw a mother and Son dressed as Phineas and Ferb.

The mom wore a red stripped shirt, shorts, and a triangle hat made to look like Phineas's face, the son wore a white shirt, a pair of pants that went up to his stomach and green hair coloring.

I found this to really be creative.
