Terrible!! Checked in on 5/1 (without DME), but had a return reservation back to the airport today (5/6). On Monday, 5/2 I went to concierge to reconfirm our reservation. The CM looked at me like I had two heads and said "they do that over there", pointing to the TSA check-in desk. I said "no they don't".
She said she would follow up and of course I never heard back. Tuesday (5/3), I go to the valet stand at the BC and luckily, or at least I thought so, two managers, one from DME (Phil) and the Bell Manager (Larry) were there. I explained the situation about confirming my reservation and they assured me everything would be all set. Took my name and room number, etc. I get a message from Phil who gives me a number to call....couldn't do it himself but typical Disney teflon Management. Starting to boil. On Thursday, I finally got a manager who followed through on the problem, primarily because I said I was not leaving until I had a solution. She explained that the "two systems were not talking to one another".???? Everything's all set, I'll get a voucher under the door, etc.
Friday, 5/6 departure (11:30 AM flight). Check bags at 8:00 AM (no problem). That part works well. The voucher said busses come every 30 minutes beginning at 7:10 AM. We're out front at 8:10 and the valet says the 8:10 has not come yet. 65 minutes later and no busses and several run-arounds, I was actually given cash for a cab.
Yes, I expect some glitches with a start-up operation, but this was a five day
circus where no one at the BC had clue as to how the program works. I actually feel more informed than anyone I talked to. Thanks for letting me vent as I just got home 3 hours ago. I also apologize for typos and spelling errors as I'm in no mood to reread what I just typed.
