Haven't seen a thread like this here, so I figured I'd start one. (It's certainly self-serving, as we leave for Disney in 6 days... :thumbsup2 )

What is your best time-saving, $$$-saving, delicious-tasting, fun-having all around Disney tip?!?

Haha...I doubt everyone is going to give up their best ones. I'll say that there is a walkway by Toontown and Tomorrowland that has no one on it. It's the quick way to get around in addition to the train, which so few people use.

:listen: Don't tell no one but during the heat of the day when you get hungry go to Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square for lunch and after you get your food look for the stairs that takes you upstairs to a sitting area. It will be cool and not crowded. Remember keep this one a secret. :rolleyes1

Only if you don't mind missing Wishes... Ask for the latest seating at LTT. Sit in front of LTT during Spectromagic....as soon as the parade passes go in to be seated (they don't seat their last group until after the parade passes)..enjoy a nice character dinner...when you leave the park is EMPTY....enjoy the trip back to your hotel.... :wizard:

I do this every trip, it's a nice break from the crowds and noise. Also happens to have my favorite CS menu.

Hit the Swiss family treehouse first thing in the morning. It gets totally jambed if you don't. Shhhh. Don't tell. Oh and I almost forgot. Hit the Tiki Room and the Hall of Presidents next. Save Space Mountain for 1pm. It will be totally empty. Shhhhhh.

But seriously. My best tip is the same at every park. Get there 15 minutes before it opens at least. It's really not all that big a secret. But most people either cannot or don't want to.

I can't believe how much more helpful all of the EPCOT people are...:surfweb:

C'mon, MK fans - give us your best advice!!!

I'll give you one and try to think of more to post when I get to work.

At the general store, (I think it's called the general store) on the right hand side of Main street as you walk toward the castle, there is a phone that you can pick up and listed to old time conversations. Like the old Party line phones that used to exist in the 50's. I think there is one in Tomorrowland as well, but I haven't found that one. I plan to this year.

Anyhow, it's just something fun to look for. That is why we love Disney, its the little details.

The phone is towards the right hand side of the store when you come in. It's an old fashioned phone.

Get there 20 minutes before the park opens, catch the train comming into the station with Mickey and the family of the day. Then when they open the gates head to your "must do" rides.

I literally took a kid one Christmas Eve, got there as they opened the gates, did everything in Fantasyland, and EVERY E ticket ride and were home by noon!

If your staying on property dont be afraid to leave the park for some nap or pool time in the afternoon when the crowds are huge. Then head back into the park in the evening. Early morning and late evening the lines are much shorter than in the afternoon.

As for meals. Stay away from the counter service places. They are over priced and the food is not that good. Grab an apple, baked potato, or other fruit options, this will hold you for an hour or so.

Go to the Judges Tent 10 mins before the parks close. They open up all of the doors and you can pretty much walk around with all of the characters without having to get back into line. Great thing to do on your first and last day there to maximize your time with characters.
