Now I have to decide what we will do if free dining is offered again, as I certainly think it will be. Considering a split stay if that happens. Keep 5 nights of a great rate at the resort I love but move to a value for 5 nights of free dining.

yes, they will probably come out w/the free dining again so we booked our room @ pop because we will have to buy the 1 day base tickets to get the dining! so worth it!!

If you book with the 40% off code and then they offer Free Dining can you still add at that rate? I did get the code emailed to me the night of 1/7 and I already was planning a late August trip with just my oldest dd so it is perfect timing. Just wondering about the FD thing.

no, you can't get 2 discounts on a reservation. i know that the free dining is a $600 savings for me, dh, and dd. during the free dining dates, it's usually value season so the rates on the hotels are good.

I have to start crunching numbers on the FREE DINING.....I wasnt that impressed with it last year after leaving 20% tips & paying for an appet. if we wanted it....we had approx. a $20-30 tab every sit down meal ....not at all like it used to be......

We had to pay full price for our room at a mod....($150/nt approx.), I booked our first night (we had a late flight) on a room only special, it was $95 for the room that night.....

I think the '09 free din. will only be for the counter service plan or pay extra for an upgrade to the one we usually get........I dont think it will save us that much.......

I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at BClub, ;;;;;;;;;;;;;always........and I got the 40% soooooooo I booked 5 nights in Oct at BClub so we can go to the halloween party as wll! WOW!! Booked Pop for Aug 23-28 with my PIN and I think the email my TA sent said it was $276 and change, room only. Standard view at AKL would have been $810. So tempting but DD wants to visit Discovery Cove this trip (this is her Mom and Me 12th bday trip) and that is going to cost me a pretty penny so I thought Pop would be the smarter thing for us to do.
