The coolest thing we ever did in my eighth grade, Catholic school English class was analyze the lyrics to Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "I am a Rock" songs.

I have 8 tracks and 45's here somewhere.

I remember when U2 had their first album, my husband has a ton of 8-tracks in the basement, I remember where I was when John Lennon was shot.

I had that same computer!!!!! I never did anything with it.

I had the Sunshine Family and played with them all the time, it was like barbie but a hippy family.

I have a POW bracelet too Patrick.

I also still have my Kissy Doll, my Barbie Doll with the bubble cut hairdo, and my Ken doll with the fuzzy buzz cut.

And then there's my class of 1969 yearbook.

:teeth: :teeth:

OHHHHH I Thought of 2 more....

1) I have no idea what y'all are talking about
AND
2) I graduate high school on June 14, 2003.

I grew up with Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and Duke's of Hazard.. My mom wouldn't let me ride in a chevy nova, and I rollerskated on 4 wheels...two in the front and two in the back....at a roller rink, on Saturdays...

edited to add...I had a big wheel...and knew how to pop a wheelie!!!! LOL.....

I have NO idea what the Gulf War was about.

No offense intended...BUT ....what are they teachin in schools these days??

LOL!! Oh yeah...I can "prove" I'm over 30 :(.....I'm really connected with a generation earlier than that!!

Maybe it's a degree in history...maybe it's be'in raised by parents who were older...but I feel a real connection to the 'Greatest Generation"

for those who might not know what that means...the WWII era

I own white leather NIKE sneakers with the red racing stipe, monogram sweaters, oxford shirts and and 8 track tapes. I also have a ton of Albums...including a great collection of Donny and Marie ones.

I'm considered a Gen Y'er ... does that prove it

I remember looking forward to Friday nights to watch The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family.;)

I played Atari & Odyssey video game systems.
I remember getting the latest in technology in our home...a microwave oven, cable tv, and a vcr. With our first cable system we had the "remote control" that was actually attached to the tv with a wire.

Saturday Night Fever
Bell Bottoms
Welcome Back Kotter!!
Leif Garrett & Andy Gibb were the "hotties" - I remember having thier pictures taped to my walls!!

My first "record album" I bought with my own money was Jesus Christ Superstar...I played it on my parents HI-FI, over and over :D

I have Donny's first album, still. lol

I have a ton of albums. It drives my kids nuts when I start playing the old ones.

For that matter, my mom had one of those wringer washers when I was little.
