Post pics of your Halloween costumes for MNSSHP

View attachment 194120 Oh my, had so much fun looking at costumes on this thread!
This will be our first MNSSHP and so much hotter than we are used to for Halloween activities (we plan our costumes to fit over a snowsuit) so after seeing everyone else's costumes I think ours are more of a disbounding. I wanted to keep it to shorts/skirt so we would stay cool, we are cranky when we get hot.
Phineas, Ferb, and Candace brought to you by the clearance rack!
Super cute AND comfortable -- a perfect combination! We're Midwesterners so, yeah, we're not really used to buying Halloween costumes for 90 degree weather either. LOL!

Gizmoduck? If so that's' an awesome choice.

Gizmoduck indeed. It's been an adventure trying to balance accuracy to the source materials, keeping the costume cool enough for FL heat, and keeping costs reasonable. I think I might have put about $40 into it so far, and between the wife and I, probably 30 hours of work.

Some folks may find this silly, but I'm super excited about my 'prop' - I'm going as Village Belle and didn't want to carry around a purse/bag that would 'ruin' the look (I'm a total dork!) SO! I came up with this idea! It's actually way more blue in real life, but the lighting in the pictures was off.

It shuts with super strong magnets, and can easily hold lots - cards, keys, lipstick, money, etc. My only disappointment is I couldn't find a blue book with a french title!

This is not my costume but I ran into this person at the second MNSSHP.. I loved the costume so much I asked to take a photo :)

I never got a picture but there was a star wars dressed family and the father did darth vadar with the helmet off to be able to get through security. (makeup from neck up to make it look like the scene in the movie)

Are you allowed to wear costumes all day if you have a ticket for that night's party?

We were planning on going to Magic Kingdom around 2 or so with our costumes on and stay for the rest of the night (assuming they meet costume guidelines). Would they allow it?

We have annual pass so there won't be a ticket issue.

THANKS!!!

2010 Pirates. We had people stopping us for pictures constantly, and even had some kids line up for autographs, but we never got any dirty looks from CMs and tried our best to politely tell people we didn't work for Disney and couldn't sign their books, lol. I doubt these costumes would be allowed under the new rules, because they're very prop- and fake weapon-heavy.

2014 Dark Jedi, Leia (from the Ewok village), and our little Ewok. She was scared of Minnie (who is her FAVORITE), but was totally fine with Jack and Sally. Go figure.

This year, DD wants to be Cinderella, so I think DH and I are going to go as some of the mice.

I think, technically, you are not allowed to before 4 PM, but I have definitely seen people in costume before that time and my thought is that it is unlikely the CMs will stop you. Just be prepared for the fact that they might though.

your actually going to see kids in costumes all week at all the parks. Now adults? I think if you showed up in the morning in costume that might get you turned away but closer to the party disney security has been fair in my opinion and I would take the chance. Just be ready that you might be told come back later and need a plan b to wait it out or visit somewhere nearby. Keep in mind the time it's going to take to find and get a wristband before 7. I've heard they hand them out in the back but I thikn it's the staff telling you to leave at 7 that has them or tells you to head somewhere other than the front.

BTW - I'm not sure if it's true anymore but in the past they were actually started to get ready and had someone to take a ticket at 3 with the full staff ready for the rush more like 3:30... You don't just stand there waiting for 4 if your early. And disney does say allow 90 minutes for their transportation :)

Thanks for the advice! We are staying at BLT so worse case we will not have far to go back! We won't have anything on very elaborate so I am thinking we'll be ok!

My kids really want to go as Paw Patrol this year (4 & 2) & as much as I'd rather them be Disney characters, I think they should get to be whomever they choose. Is it bad to go as non-Disney characters? I figure if anything else, they're costumes will be unique! lol.

Many go as non Disney characters. This year my oldest will be Harley Quinn.

My girls are going as Duffy and Shellie May. Grandma is almost done and I'll share pics. They won't get dressed until the sun goes down and they are only wearing a cami and bike shorts underneath to prevent overheating.

Citizens of Duckburg, fear not. I hear you!
