Post pics of your bag you carry into park

Okay, I fully admit that I am a bag freak. Our past three trips I have used the Columbia Touring Bag and love it, but all three of those trips we also still had a stroller to carry things in (like the water bottles), but DD is now too old for a stroller. I bought an Ashley Cooper quilted backpack for our next trip, but I am also looking for a messenger style bag to take as well. Since I have until August, I have plenty of time to buy more more bags to pack and take.

Okay, I just had to tell everyone that it isn't enough that I have these two bags, I just ordered from Vera Bradley online the Mediterranean White Hipster on sale.

Wow...reading this thread made me want to buy a bunch of bags!! I LOVE my Vera Bradley Cupcakes Pink pattern, so I'm excited to have a reason to buy another piece. :woohoo: I love my mini-hipster, so I know I'll love the regular size. (Actually, all of my purses are hipsters, but since none of you recommended any of them, I'll have to buy the new Vera! lol)

My Target has some of their travel stuff on clearance, and I picked up a black sling bag for my husband for $9.99. It's doesn't have a lot of organizational pockets, but it's really just going to be for carrying pull-ups, wipes, etc. Not sure it will fit the autograph books, though, now that I think about it...

oops - my original message posted twice, so I thought I'd edit this one (since I can't figure out how to delete it) to ask for a suggestion for my husband. The more I think about it, he needs a bigger bag than the one I got at Target. What kind of bag does your dh/bf/whatever take or at least doesn't mind taking a turn carrying??

Thanks!

I would be interested in this as well. DH will NEVER carry my floral printed Ashley Cooper back pack, but he would help carry a backpack if it wasn't "girlie". We don't need anything big, just something to put the camera and water bottle in and possibly folded rain ponchos. Any suggestions?

I realize I may be the "odd man out" on this thread because my bag is not designed for comfort. But I sure do love my new Disney D&B!

I wanted to post to all who are looking through here for a great bag to carry in the parks.
I recently bought a baggallini messenger in pink from two different places, shoebuy.com and ebags. They both came out to be an almost neon pink instead of the more fushcia color they use to be. I had ordered one back about three years ago and it was a beautiful fushcia color, but I gave it to a friend who ended up having a house fire so I wanted to order another for her and another for myself.
:sad2: No go. They came in this neon almost bubble gum pink color! :scared1: Hideous I must say. Now if that's your color then great, but I had been expecting something else. I have not ordered anything else to know how the other colors will fair from previous orders, but I wanted you all aware of the issue so you know what your getting yourself into. I've tried contacting the company and the sites I've ordered them from, the only thing we've come up with is a factory change about three years ago, so maybe that had something to do with it. :confused3 It's still a great product and shoebuy still has it's save10 code to save 10$, and then on top of free shipping and returns and another 10% off when you register (even if you registered before, register again as if you've not done it) you can't beat the price. Here's hoping the green one I order comes out OK. :thumbsup2

where did you find that bag I love it!!!

You can only get it at Disney, but there are also some up for auction on ebay.
There is an entire thread about them here:
[thread]2300001[/thread]

I purchased the largest one available right now - it's called the "Mickey Mouse Sketch Large Tote". I carry my DSLR camera and other necessities into the Park, and I will still have room left for souvenirs, etc...I LOVE IT!

They're gorgeous! Good Luck!

I tried the Baggelini on our last trip but don't like the cut across the "girls" and the fact to be able to sit you always have to remove it.

This time around I purchased this bag from QVC but have already used it and it is very comfortable and convenient. The middle compartment can hold me digital camera (it's a little bigger than a pocket camera) and the many pockets make it very user friendly. I got it in sage.

Disney and bags?! My two favorites!!

Okay, I just ordered this bag from LLBean. I hope it will do for my trip in March. I need something a little bigger because I will be by myself and so will have a book and my big journal with me, plus my camera, a water bottle, a little makeup case for touch-ups (you know, in case any single guys are there at the same time as me!;)), and whatever else I think is important enough to have with me. I will post a review once I receive it and have tested it out a bit.

Okay...finally got around to taking pics of the bag I'm trying out for our November trip. Please excuse the quality...I took them with my cell phone.

This is a Buxton bag that I got at Walmart (in Canada so it may not be there in the US or possibly there and cheaper!) for $14.98

Here's a shot of the front pocket with a clip for your car keys:

A shot of the back where I'd keep my park maps, time tables, etc.

I put my Passporter in the middle pocket to show the size (I don't take it to the parks but it shows you the height)

And my favorite pocket. It's got all kinds of slots for Keys to the Kingdon cards, credit cards ect. The water bottle isn't one of those huge ones but it's average size and the zipper comes right up over the top of it. I also tucked a rain poncho in the opposite side so you can sort of see the pockets there. Lots of other little pockets in this section too.

Here's a shot of my daughter wearing it. She's a little shorter then me (about 5'1") and the strap is almost fulling out. The strap feels softer then the Overland Donner bag I have so hopefully it won't bug my neck as much and the material is nylon so it should take some rain/splash action.

Now the worst part....I have to wait 9 months to use it! :rotfl:

I was just looking at that bag.

Can't wait to hear what you think.

:thumbsup2Kelty, waist bag....outstanding size and comfort...really just a glorified fanny-pack, but it gets the job done!!!

I went to pick up Vera Bradley hipster, but I decided that the mailbag would be better for me for a few reasons: the opening is bigger than the hipster and there are several pockets, one of which has card slots.

My pattern is not on sale (of course!) on the site, but there are several that are on sale for $23 less.

I'm still looking for some suggestions for a bag for my husband.

I'm new here. Our trip isn't for another 18 months or so, but I've been reading the forums trying to get an idea about what I need. My husband thinks I'm crazy.

So after reading this board I was thinking of trying out the Overland Equip Donner bag. I just ordered it from 6pm.com for $16.50. Shipping was $6.95, but I still think that makes it the cheapest I've seen it anywhere and just wanted to share. (I, of course had to order some shoes to make the shipping worth it!)

That IS a good price! Seems to me I got mine online for $30 2 years ago....you'll like it. I've worn mine pretty much out, which is why I went looking for something else.

I just ordered a baggallini in black. I'm hoping I like this one.........plus in black, DH won't think it is girly and will carry it. This can be worn in the front too, correct? It is a pain to get stuff out of a backpack all the time.

I have that bag (smaller size) and I really like it. I haven't taken it to Disney, but it has worked well for me, and I have used it as an everyday bag, day trip bag, and diaper bag. It works for just about every application. In fact, I liked the dark blue one so much, I ordered the same style in lighter blue as well.
