Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I keep buying bags to take to on our trip. I don't think that I will be able to take all of them with me. Lol. But the last bag that I bought is perfect!!! It is a slingbag that I found on the croc website. It fits wonderfully and even has a little pouch on the strap that fits my cell phone perfectly! I can't wait to use it! :)

Hey all! Thanks for all of the reviews of bags. I finally decided on two baggallinnis (the messanger and the small wallet). I'll let you know how I like them when they come next week. Also, I was wondering if anyone has tried those ebags packing cubes for luggage? I got some of those- they look like they will help me organize better.

I have the small eBags packing cubes. Right now I have two with clothes in them (the ags Packing cubes come in a pack of three). One has three disney shirts folded and placed in it and the other has a few pairs of socks. I may end up getting the medium cubes to use for my carry on for clothes. Since they are see thru, it helps if your bag has to be inspected, so they don't rummage through clothes and mess things up.

You can also get a set that has one small, one medium and one large packing cube instead of just three of one size.

I also have a "double length" packing cube by Eagle Creek that I put a few pairs of crop pants in.

I am still debating on getting an Eagle Creek brand two sided packing cube for my one change of clothes for the carry-on luggage.

I got my Baggallini delivered on Tuesday. I think I won't put the Belle patch on it (my mom thinks that would ruin the bag). I'll probably get some Belle stickers instead (they have a nice set of stickers that are I think for scrapbooking, at Michaels. I'll buy those instead since they aren't as permanent.

Help! Trying to decide between overland donner and hey's travelmate. We are going in August with 2 dds. Never been to WDW before. I know we will pack snacks, ponchos, water, sunscreen etc. People say bring an extra set of clothes! Do we need that? Don't want it to be too heavy, but want to be able to carry everything.

We have a small camera and an SLR. Will that fit in either? TIA!!!

I think you'd probably want the Overland Donner, just because of the items you want to bring along. I've seen a Heys Travelmate at Shopko and its not very big; even expanded it probably wouldn't hold all you wanted to bring.

For those who feel they want to bring a few extras that won't fit into a small bag, such as clothes, hats, jackets, etc., I wanted to share what I did the last time I was in WDW to help with this. I know that no one wants to carry around more than they have to while touring the parks but sometimes you need more than a little baggallini can carry (I know heaven forbid :scared1:)
thus was the case for me since we were suppose to the leave the park for another engagement and needed nicer clothing that didn't smell like I had been at rainy, humid park all day. :scared:
I took my huge backpack with all that I would need, and I mean everything, clothes, visor, deoderant, washcloth, hair spray all of it and even put my baggallini in it until I got there, got a locker (which you can use all day long, even switch parks and get another one without paying again) and put my big bag in there, I could go back to it any time I wanted to without having to pay over and over (very nice) and I had my little baggallini with me. I know that's not always easy for parents, but for some this might work out, many want to bring extra clothes (adults too) but don't want to cart it around all day. I was so happy to have this alternative, I wasn't staying on property so I needed a good alternative and this was it for me, the locker wasn't that exspensive (I said THAT exspensive, it is Disney after all) at least it was well worth it to me, and I'm happier for it. :lovestruc It turned out to be a rainy day so I was glad to have a place to put my visor, I hated wearing that thing after a while it hurts my head. :headache:

Here's my travel bag:

It's from REI, and I paid about $20 on sale. Linky: http://www.rei.com/product/747932

I like that it's PADDED. If I'm keeping my Treo and a camera in it, I want it to be cushioned in case I drop it. I like the zipper compartment on the side to keep a water bottle. I even used the strap as a lanyard for my pins!

My most important suggestion is to become familiar with how you organize your stuff. I like to be able to quickly grab what I need, without having to rummage all around to find what I want.

Thanks to everyone on this thread...

I read (almost) the whole thing last night and just ordered myself BOTH a Baggallini Messenger in Giraffe Print AND an Overland Donner bag.
I used the Spring20 discount code on shoebuy, then registered with them for an additional 10% off, so both bags came to about $80 tax inclided. I know there are less expensive Baggallini Messengers but I fell in love with the giraffe print and had to have it.
I plan to pretend pack for our trip to see which one I like better, then return the other one. Or I may just have to keep them both...
We'll see!

Congrats on making a decision!!

Ok, here is my Heys Travelmate. This is what I had in it, and I still had quite a bit of room left. I know I will probably add a few things before we head to DW.

I just got this same one from hsn for $12.95 + shipping. I wore it to the zoo yesterday. I love it. I used a red bagellini on our last trip. It was okay but wore a place on my neck. I'm using this & a small slr camera bag on our June trip.

For my trip next month, I plan on using two different bags (one for during the day, and a smaller one for after our afternoon break, around our dinner time ADRs).

The daytime bag looks very similar to this Vera Bradley style back pack
img-thing

I bought a Vera Bradley-inspired bag that looks like this yesterday at Boscov's, clearanced to around 12 bucks. I plan on using it both as my carry on bag on the plane and for around the parks in the morning. It has a good amount of compartments and has a lot of space in the main compartment. I think I'll be carrying more "stuff" during those morning/early afternoon times.

The one I will carry around in the later part of the day looks something like this except mine features the small c's in a tan color:
sp1.1

I'm not sure of the price on this one, as it was handed down to me from my great aunt. This is a slim bag, but I like that it's worn across the body instead of on the shoulder. In the evening, I won't need to carry as much "stuff" (sunscreen, sunglasses, etc).

Hope this helps someone :)

Wondering if anyone has used the Disney Messanger Bag they sell on Disneyshopping.com? Looks cute and small enough to not worry about. Can't decide if bag or look for cargo shorts so no need to stand in bag lines.
Any thoughts?

that was a bag I considered, but it didn't have enough pictures and I had read other threads or sites that the material was a bit flimsy.

I've been agonizing about what bag I'd use if we go to Disney this year (free dining).

I've tried a small backpack (too hot), a nylon drawstring backpack (strings cut into my shoulders) and a fanny pack (loved the hands-free convenience but it didn't have enough room for everything I wanted). I have to be careful about the size of my bag and the weight of its contents, so as to avoid aggravating an old shoulder injury.

My park essentials will include:

1. Allergy and headache meds (single packs of two tablets)
2. Sunscreen (small travel sized bottle that snaps off the larger bottle)
3. Sunglasses
4. Wallet (use flat lightweight nylon velcro wallet instead of my nice, bulkier, heavier leather one)
5. Small comb or brush - extra ponytailer wrapped around the handle
6. Hand sanitizer
7. Small pack of wipes or facial tissues
8. Disposable poncho
9. Camera
10. Cell Phone

I don't tote around water bottles - I get free water from the CS places!

I was rummaging through my bag stash yesterday and found two bags - they were originally designed for portable Discman-type CD players. The bags were retired years ago when my older kids' CD players stopped working.

It occured to me that the CD bag could be easily repurposed as my park bag. I've tried it and all my park essentials can fit! It's padded and waterproof too - added protection for the camera and phone, though I will still put them in a ziploc bag

DH and DD11 will carry their own stuff.

The bag has an adjustable strap that will allow me to wear as an a shoulder bag or cross-body bag, or I could strap it around my waist like a fanny pack. There is also a belt loop, so that I could wear the bag on my belt.

What I like best is that it's effectively a "free" bag - no additional outlay!

I've also got a brown leather cross-body purse by Nine West that will work well for the evening (another almost free bag - I paid 50cents for it at a garage sale!)

Thought I would post this in case it's helpful to someone...

If you are looking for a small bag and don't have too much to carry, you might want to consider the Mini Hipster Vera Bradley bag. My mom just ordered one on the VB website in a retiring color and got it for 16 bucks, down from 45. There is about 8 dollar shipping plus tax, though, so it brought the total to about 25. Not bad, though, considering the original was 45. You could try looking in a store, too, but from my experience the stores don't have much of the clearance stuff, not like the website does.

someone on this thread also has this bag, so you might want to look through her post. It looks perfect for the person who carries a camera, the various cards you will need, sunscreen, lip balm, a poncho, etc. Probably not for someone with a family who needs to carry a lot of things.

Hope this helps someone!

No bags for me. Whatever fits into my tiny Coach purse is what goes to the parks with me.

I used to carry a teardrop sling around like this...

... and it would fit anything I could think of.

I just received my two bagallinni bags (messenger and the small wallet) and medium size e-bags packing cubes. I am going to return the packing cubes. I just think they're very unneccessary for packing. I could probably fit a couple shirts or an outfit in each cube, however I think just packing regularly will be better for me. I give them two Mickey's because they could be useful for other people, especially those with kids who may need the extra organization. ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

I like the bagallinni small wallet. I got it in black and it's much bigger than expected actually. (I am going to try to post a picture of it with stuff inside later.) There's a few zippered compartments inside and one outside. The inside is big enough for money, credit cards, small camera, sunglasses, lip stick/lip gloss, and some other small items. You can wear it like a purse or around your waist. I give this bag four Mickey's because it will be great for Disney (especially DTD or a night out to dinner) and life outside of Disney (baseball games, concerts, etc.) ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/wallet_bagg_small_microfiber/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=5790#

I also like the bagallinni messenger bag (I got it in turquoise with I LOVE). However, it's a little smaller in person that I thought. I think the place for the water bottle is especially tight. I have to try out some water bottles to make sure they fit- but it's gonna be snug. I think I'm going to keep this bag because it's cute and will probably be big enough for my family (we don't take too much into the parks). It will hold a small wallet, maps, snacks, etc. I'm not 100% on this bag, but I think it will work. I give this bag 2 Mickey's because it's a little smaller than I would like for the parks and the water bottle area is little too small. However, they have great colors (which will be fun in Disney) and it will get the job done. Not sure if I'll use it too much outside of Disney, though. ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

Hope this may help someone make the all-important bag decision!! :goodvibes

First, I carried a Vera Bradley Hipster in the Daisy Daisy print. This is the old style hipster that is now retired.

In the front zippered pocket, I carried my wallet.

In the front slip pocket, I carried our park maps and schedules.

In the large zippered pocket, I carried a water bottle, 4 ponchos and several other things. I wish I would have took a photo of that - because I know you alll like details - but I didn't. It did fit a lot, and it was very comfortable to carry - so much so, that it is still the bag I carry on a daily basis and I have purchased it in 2 more colors.

I was able to wear this bag on every ride, but I did take it off on Kali River Rapids because it is not water proof. I did carry a zip-loc bag with a few things that I didn't want wet, just in case, but I never had any problems.

I am a short (5'3") person, who is not skinny - here are a few photos of how the bag carries on me.

My daughters and I also carried the Disney Create Your Own Messenger bag (small) - however it is different than the one that is currently selling on Disney's web site. Stay tuned for those photos... I am uploading those now.

I have looked at the Baggallini online so many times but just can't make up my mind. I would really like to try one in person before purchasing. In the pictures it looks like it will only hang in the back of you? I like my bag to hang on my side. Can anyone who has one please tell me if it will hang on your side?
