Post pics of your bag you carry into park

Ok I feel the SAME way about the strap between the chest! I have the bagallini urban backpack. I carry it all summer instead of my regular purse. I can fit my camera, small bottle of water, sunscreen, sunglass etc in it. I love it.

I might be going with a Vera Bradley backpack for my upcoming May trip. I'm a little worried about carrying all my money etc on my back.

Finally, someone who understands! :rotfl: Seriously, though, it makes bag-buying very difficult, especially when I love the look of the cross-body bags. I may have to order the Urban Backpack. I was looking at it earlier but I was afraid it wouldn't hold everything I'm bringing (my camera, for example, isn't an SLR, but it's pretty heavy). If it doesn't work out, I can always return it! And I didn't know Vera Bradley did backpacks. I'll have to look into those. Thanks!

I only use the LLBean mini messenger bag at Disney since it holds everything I need for the day (tix, cellphone, small umbrella, sunblock, lipbalm, aspirin, sunglasses, mini mister fan, toilet seat covers, scrunchie, travel hair brush). On top of all of that, it could also fit one poncho. Here is a picture of me wearing the mini messenger bag.

For those who want a bigger bag, here is a picture of me wearing the the LLBean touring bag. I carried it all over England and Ireland, though the strap is somewhat thin and can get a bit uncomfortable after a while. At Disney though, you're on and off rides so much that I don't think you'd have it on long enough to get uncomfortable. I don't use it at Disney because it holds more than I need for a day at the parks.

I'm so excited! My Vera Bradley Hipsters came today. I ordered two of the sale ones on Tuesday and they came this morning! I couldn't be happier with them. They are a great size for someone who's going on an adult only trip. I always needed something bigger when my kids were young and we brought extra food for 4, some things to keep them busy in line, wipes, juice boxes, etc. But now that it's just me and my dh, a bag this size is great! I'm already sitting here planning where everything is going to go in it plus I'll still easily have enough room for a few granola bars or pieces of fruit for just the two of us. I even realized that on days when I might be simply relaxing on the Boardwalk or DTD by myself, there's enough room to fit my kindle! I love bringing my books with me while I relax on off days!

One question for anyone who has a hipster. Do you know if the colors bleed at all when they get wet from a water ride or even simply sweating? We're going in August, so both are very possible! One of the hipsters is red and I'm just a little worried about the color bleeding onto my clothes. I've washed and line dried my weekenders before, and didn't know if I should do that with these before the trip. Any thoughts?

Just wanted to chime in here...We bought a waist pack from this website and used it last weekend at Busch Gardens and Seaworld.

At first glance, these bags look a little cheap, but ours really held up well and is even waterproof. And the prices are great...

We had 3 ponchos ($1 emergency kind), small tube of pain meds, small tube of dramamine, hand sanitizer, bandaids, package of pb & crackers, small fan, car key, and money in it and everything fit with room to spare. Hubby had the camera in his pocket and we just carried a bottle of water in hand. So, while this may not be ideal for those with smaller children who need diapers, wipes, extra clothes, etc., it worked great for us. And I didn't have to store it in a locker in order to ride the coasters. I know Disney pretty much lets you take your bags on any ride, but BG, SW, US, and IOA won't let you take any loose bags on the bigger rides. However, if you have a waist pack attached to your body, it's not considered loose!!!

Hope this helps...

Oh sure, feed my addiction why dontcha :lmao: I just ordered one, but the kind w/ two zippers on the front.

Question for you Baggallini Messenger lovers: Does it actually hang right up against your back or is it more like an on the side kind of position? This bag looks great, but I can't imagine having a loaded bag covering a good part of my back in the heat that is Disney in August! :scared1: Just wondering, as in the photos with the mannequin it clearly appears to be across half the back.

If you go back a couple of pages you'll see someone wearing the messenger, she's wearing it in a light blue, and so is her husband. I love it, and I didn't feel like I was wearing something that was covering most of my back like the huge back pack I brought the first time. :scared1:
The first time I wore the baggallini messenger, it was very humid and I did not feel like it added to the sweating issue at all. But then everyone is different shaped and some have a lot more area to cover (like me, pooh shaped here) and some have far less area that will get covered more. ;)
Personally I think you'll love the bag, but you'll have to look at it on others to get a better idea.

Am also curious about the prewashing since I ordered a VB hipster and matching wallet on sale today! :cheer2: Can't wait to get them!!

I have a dark blue one (Mod Floral Blue) and never had any problems with the colors bleeding. It was rainy and hot, so it got wet from the rain and it was against my sweaty leg (hahaha...TMI!) and never bled. I also carry a different style as my everyday purse and never had a problem. And none of my Vera Bradley has ever been washed.

I have the Baggallini in both black and purple. I love the purple. Not too dark and yet not attention getting bright. I am thinking about getting a turquoise one for our September trip so I'll have one in a lighter summer color.

can the SAVE10 code be used on subsequent orders? (the shoebuy one)

I will be getting my baggallini and then maybe ordering one for my sister, which would be a separate order. Awhile back (late January) we were at a luggage store where she lives, that carried the baggallini bags and my sister said they would probably need something, too. I told her that I'd order mine and then let her look at it and then I can order her one if she wants me to. That's why I wanted to make sure the code can be used more than once. I know the extra 10% off for registering is only a one time deal, correct?

Thanks for letting me know. That was the only thing that I was worried about. I have washed my weekender and large duffles a few times each. I have never dried them in the dryer, but hung them instead. They wash really well (in case you ever need to wash one)

At bagsbuy.com, you can use the SAVE10 code multiple times. I have used it twice this week. And the 10% is good for 2 months after you register. I've also used it twice just this week alone! I love the two Baggallinis that I have ordered.......so far. I may get a third! :)

Yes! To the save10 code, you can order as many times as you want and get the discount. That's how I ordered everyone of mine! Also make sure you register EVERY time you order, you DO get an additional 10% off your order no matter how many times you order. :upsidedow

Thanks!

Before I purchase though, I am checking my local TJ Maxx at least one more time.

The turquoise is soooo pretty, it's known around these parts as "mermaid blue." This is the color my dd and dn have, my mom and I have the purple~love!love!love! the purple! We also have the pink (really fuscia) and the periwinkle and the lime green. You will really love the turquoise for a lighter summer color for sure!!

Thanks everyone for posting and adding the links. I am obsessed with finding the perfect bag for WDW. I have a Baggallini which is good, but the search still continues.

I think I'll end up with the Baggallini, too. TJ Maxx in town had Baggallini (the Only Bagg, not the messenger) two months ago and today: nothing. So, its likely I'll be ordering the beautiful purple rip stop nylon bag. Just wish there was a way to "personalize" it with a Princess Belle applique/patch, but the material can't be ironed.

Try super glue in the gel form to apply your Belle patch. I used it to 'stick' a change purse on the back of my backpack. Worked great. Just make sure it is the gel form. It's thicker and doesn't soak through as much as the regular stuff.

The "Organizing Shoulder Bag" by Thirty-One Gifts is a great and comfortable bag for travel.

mythirtyone.com/inspire

It costs $38 and can be embroidered for another $6. There are 5 colors to choose from.

I have read all of these pages TWICE looking for a bag I wanted, but I can't find it now! It is a sling bag (I think?) that can be worn on the left shoulder instead of the right. I wear my purse over my body onto my left shoulder and would prefer a bag like that. I want to say it looked like the Travelon or the baggalini messenger. Any ideas? I ordered the Crocs sling bag, but it is worn over the right shoulder. And besides that my DH and DS15 REFUSED to wear it!:rotfl2:
