Post pics of your bag you carry into park

Atom.jpg

I just purchased the Atom from Patagonia. It is a wonderful little sling bag. I have been using my baggallini faithfully for the last few years, but I have found that it really starts to dig into my skin after a several days. Last year I ended my vacation with a really unpleasant burn looking owie on my shoulder! Not fun! So park bag hunting started as soon as we got home! I was looking for something durable, lightweight and able to hold quite a bit without being huge...basically looking for the PERFECT park bag! I think i have found it in the Atom! This is such a great little bag! I tried it out on a recent day trip to Dorney Park. I was very pleased overall! It holds just as much as my baggallini without feeling bulky or heavy at all. It has a strap you can put around your waist if you are doing some serious trekking, or you can just stash it away. I LOVE the bright color b/c it allows my step kids and husband to spot me in a crowd!:rotfl: Over all I was really impressed with how light and ulitmately comfortable it was even after a long day! The best part about this bag was I got it for $39!! Not a bad price for a patagonia bag! It performed beautifully!! Highly recommend!!!:thumbsup2

That's a really nice bag, I like the looks of it and the features, but I just would never be comfortable carrying everything behind me where I can't keep an eye on it. I'm way too paranoid for that. I need a bag I can carry in front.

I was just going to say the same thing!

agreed! looks cool but that strap around the thigh in the humidity and heat in florida would get yuck and uncomfortable pretty quick! I am trying to imagine my DH wearing one of those...after five minutes or so my husband would rip that bag from his leg and hurl it as far as he could. :lmao:

definitely a bag for the fashion commando!!!:cool2:;)

You actually can carry this bag in front if you want to! It's comfortable either way. I am very much the same way about my bags! I tend to keep my bags to my side right under my arm. I love this bag b/c you can whip it to the front no problem and everything is easy access. My husband carries the money and key cards in his cargo short zip pockets so that stuff is safe. I fell in love with my arms and hands being free and the lack of a bag bumping against my hip all day long and the absence of my shoulders aching from carrying all the weight. I'm telling you...if you try it...you'll be instantly addicted!!! ;)

Wow! That *does* sound great! I think I may have to give it a try. Thanks for the rec!

I think it's a great concept, having a lot of the weight supported by your leg/thigh instead of your waist/lower back (I don't know about you, but my thighs are WAY stronger than my back!) But that strap looks like it would irritate the heck out of me!

Anyone have experience with a Baggallini "Zip 'n Go"? It looks similar to the little camera bag I've used in the past, but is apparently about 2" wider and 2" longer, which would be nice.

Has anyone here carried a Harveys Seatbelt bag to the parks? That Steamboat Willie messenger bag is so cute.

Does anyone have personal pics of the eBags Piazza Day Bag (http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/piazza-day-bag/94553)? It looks like it would be awesome and I'm kind of torn between the chili and lavender color but they look kind of ugly online! I'm very into how a bag looks (sometimes moreso than what it'll hold!) so I'd like to know if it's better looking in real life...or worth the not so hot exterior!

Thanks!! :cutie:
