Post pics of your bag you carry into park

How comfortable are the Baggalini Messenger Sling bags for busty plus sized women? Are they comfortable for men as well? How long is the strap? Is this a good bag for some diapers, snacks, camera, sippy cup?

I really like my Baggalini and have used it on 4 trips now - it's comfortable and holds all we need including 2 Hydroflask bottles and even our DSLR if packed strategically! The ONLY negative I have is when I don't remember to take it off before we have pictures taken because the strap sits right between my chest which doesn't always make for an attractive photo :rolleyes1

DH and I spent waaayy to much time looking for "the perfect bag" for our trip last summer. We both wanted something either of us could use, be water repellent, and light weight. We ended up with the Stowaway Pack Backpack from LLBean. It was PERFECT. Lightweight, the straps are padded put have holes in them so they are breathable, it poured two or three times and everything stayed dry inside. I actually convinced my parents to buy one for their next trip (they've been using the same purple backpack for 10 years now). Here's the link to it (I'm hoping it works!) http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/63707?feat=816-CL1 I'm glad I didn't get a "girly" one DH ended up carrying it most of the time. :rolleyes1

Thanks...I just bought the Stowaway backpack and I'm really excited to use it on my upcoming trip.

:confused3Which bagallini?

I'd guess the Baggallini messenger

I run into the same pros and con. I LOVE that it's smaller yet holds everything I ever need. I've been in the winter and stuffed a fleece in there, budget trips where it held my lunch/snacks/extra water, and my DSLR fit in there when I needed it to.

After 6 trips I'm trying to decide whether to get another one or continue using the one that I have (turquoise)

I tried the VB hipster and it wasn't for me- definitely comfortable but it couldn't hold my "necessities" (single bottle of water, DSLR).

I'm happy, because I just discovered that my new netbook will just barely fit into my old REI bag, which looks like this:

I don't plan on taking the netbook into a park, but it makes a nice bag for travelling with a computer, and I won't have to buy a new bag now.

I found the Baggalinni Uptown Bag at Marshall's today for $19. They had other ones for $15-$30... really great deals on that brand of bag. So, if you have a TJMaxx or Marshall's nearby, you want to check there for a baggalinni bag before you look anywhere else. :)

Oh my goodness, I have been googling that bag! Thanks for sharing! I am going to TJ Maxx TOMORROW, that is an incredible price! For $19 I don't even care what color I get! The cheapest I've found was $64.95!!

I bought a very small ebags bag for this trip. In the past, I have used a bagallini but found that the metal was WAY too heavy and didn't stay in place so I had to keep adjusting it. This time the bag is just big enough for my camera, cards and cell phone. Since we are going in June, I needed something smaller because I heard it is hot, hot, hot!! Looking forward to downsizing....perhaps next year, I will fit everything in my pockets...no bag check for me!:)

OK, upon more observation, the bag I picked up this morning is WAY different than the pics online. It is missing a wallet, a place to hold chapstick/lipstick, zippered back pouch (mine is open). Must be an older model maybe? Regardless, still a great price, but just a heads up!

Way back when this thread started, I bought the Overland Donner bag as many had recommended. We go to WDW once or twice a year, so my Donner has been well used! However, I am growing a little weary of slinging it across my shoulder and feeling weighed down on one side. So I think I am ready to down size and do the unthinkable...get a fanny pack. I know, they are not exactly fashionable, but I would so love to get rid of the bulge on my hip...and put it infront of my stomach instead LOL! You know, WDW vistors aren't known as a fashionable bunch. We long time serious DISers know we need to dress for comfort to get through the long day of huffing it around the parks. So, I'm getting the fanny pack.Actually, they are called a waist pack now. I found one that looks pretty good at Eddie Bauer!

I think the smallest one(on sale!) will do. Does anyone else use a "waist pack" or got one from Eddie Bauer? thoughts? I will miss carrying a water, but thought perhaps I could fit in one of those small "chubby" bottles.

Great thread!

Does/has anyone used a Camel Pak or a camel pak/backpack combo? We're thinking about going that route this time, we're a very thirsty people. I found some that were combos but we were wondering how much storage space the pak leftover.

Just noticed that myself. Well, it must be an older style. It's still a cute bag though that I think will serve the purpose for which I intended it. :) I may go back and see if there are any others that I like for the same price.

I've been eyeing the Baggallini Around the Town bag for a couple weeks now. It appears to be just the type of bag I'm looking for and I especially like the water resistant nylon. My current bag is cloth and while I can put it in the washer, it gets & stays wet so I'm always trying to cover it up on water rides! I'll do that even with a water resistant bag but it takes forever for that thick canvas to dry!

I've tried TJ Maxx and while they have had baggallini bags, they are not the style I want. I've been looking for good prices online and today, I found what I think is a good price :) Amazon had the bag in Black for $36.05 with free shipping. The Black bag was the cheapest which I found odd because I thought that was one of the most popular colors! Well, I would have bought the cheapest color anyway (as long as it isn't neon or somethhing like that) but I'm happy I got it in Black.

Thanks for everyone's input and recommendations - whether you answered me or others, I was paying attention :thumbsup2

I have narrowed my choice between Overland Equipment's Ellis and Bayless. Has anyone used either of these? If you've used the Bayless, were there any issues with the front magnets messing up credit cards or tickets? Thanks.

I really like the style of the Baggalini bags but they don't seem to have much padding on the shoulder strap. I'm wondering how wearing this all day long will be without any padding.

Anyone have any pics of good bags with lots of padding??

My whole family used the Baggalini Messenger on our Oct. trip last year. Ours were tremendously loaded down- snacks, two to three bottles of water to start the day with, etc.. They were very heavy and as the day wore on became uncomfortable. They weren't quite as bad when we got down to one water bottle. The strap wasn't the problem, I found the padding to be sufficient. It was just the weight pulling on our shoulders and neck that was uncomfortable.
