Post Photos of Hotels Here...DLH, HoJo, BWPPI, DI&S, CCI...etc.

Anaheim Marriott Suites - We got a king bed on the 6th floor with a view looking towards Chapman. The hotel is appox. 2 miles from Disneyland. Not a bad drive at all. Hotel was friendly and let us check in early (11 AM) without any question. They didn't mention the $12/day parking fee up front, which really ticked us off. Hotel restaurant/lounge was overpriced. Internet cost 11.95/day. Starbucks was in the lobby, which we used a few times to our convenience, but prices were slightly inflated. Hotel also had a small gift shop with usual travel necessities, food and drink, as well as some Disney items. Room had a mini fridge as well as a coffee maker and iron/ironing board. Other amenities included a mini fridge and televisions in both rooms.

Bathroom with separate toilet/shower area.

View of the living area/pull out couch. This was narrow for a pull out couch, but since we didn't use it, I cant be sure of the size. It seems like a small area to have a queen size pull out. I cannot imagine having four adults in this room, or even having two kids with us. :confused3

And this was our view - you can see space mountain in the background if you look really really really carefully! :wizard:

Ok this may sound like a strange question but I want to know what toilettries the DLH provides. I saw some in an earlier picture but couldn't quite make out what they were. I saw shampoo and bath gel, was their conditioner too? I only ask because I am packing soon and want to know what toiletries to pack. Thanks!

yes, conditioner and body lotion in those adorable little mickey head topped bottles! if you pack them away everynight or morning you are there, they will put a new set out for you each time they clean! my grand daughters love those little bottles! (so do I) lol...

Kittyskyfish, thanks for posting the Fairfield Inn photos! :woohoo: I think I'm going to stay there on an upcoming trip. Looks good!

Hurlysweety, I though the $12 a day surcharge was suppose to be a resort fee that includes parking and extras like internet access? :confused3

These pictures were taken on our last day at the DLH. We only posted pictures of a few things because the other pictures have been posted frequently. The hotel was nice. My only complaints were that there was no microwave in the room and there was only one chair. We will stay there again, though.

Here is the refrigerator. As you can see, it was very small, so we just filled it with drinks. Fortunately, we didn't bring any perishables. That little compartment with the ice pack is the "freezer," although it didn't work very well.

The sink. The toilet is located in a separate area of the bathroom next to the sink. There is a door that can close in case someone wants privacy from the rest of the bathroom. Sorry, no picture of the toilet.

The shower. The shower head had a bunch of different settings so it was pretty nice.

Here are some photos of the hotel our family likes to stay at.. It's the Holiday Inn on South Walnut.

This is the covered patio where there are long red benches to sit at and wait for the ART shuttle bus to take you to Disneyland.

A glimpse inside their suite, seems simple and nice.

The ART route for Holiday Inn on south walnut only includes one other hotel and that is the Hotel Menage. What is nice is we just hoped on the ART shuttle and it took us to the Menage and we enjoyed their restruant then hopped back on ART to return to our hotel.

Thanks to the Original Poster for this thread. I think it will be useful to alot of people.
And thanks to all those who shared pics of the hotels they have stayed at.:goodvibes

fairykin, thanks for posting those photos! Wow the Holiday Inn on Walnut is pretty nice! Is it a building like a tall concrete building or is it walk up rooms like the motel type?

I thought I should bump this because I think it was back on like page four.:goodvibes

They have interior hallways. We've stayed there a couple of times, but we haven't been back since they re-did everything. It looks pretty great though.

Last Weekend we stayed at the Travelodge International. It's not a Bad Hotel, we got it at $47 a night. The Only Problem I had with it was- it's about 4 blocks away, about 25 min walk to the main gate, and the beds were a little hard for me. But Other than that, its a nice hotel for the price!

Hi there! We are going in August, and we are also doing the Amtrak Pacific Surf liner to San Diego...our itineraries sound similar. Did you already do this trip? If so, how was it?? Do they have restrictions on luggage like the airlines do? We are also booked on Shelter Island at the Best Western Island Palms...please let me know more! Thanks, Kelly :thumbsup2

We are doing the opposite. We are flying from Providence to Santa Ana, staying from Mon-Sat at CCI, then taking the Amtrak Pacific Surf Liner to San Diego (Sounds like it would be nice) then staying in San Diego from Saturday through Tues and leaving on Wed. We will fly from San Diego to Providence.

Where did you stay in San Diego? So many choices....so scarey....

We are staying on Shelter Island - I have my fingers crossed.

We are planning on San Diego Zoo and Seaworld.

How did you find the driving? Was it as scarey as you thought? We rented a convertible in San Diego.

Hi Redsox! We are heading to San Diego after our Anaheim stay, and although I'm not completely 100% about where we are staying yet, I actually have the Best Western Island Palms booked right now, after seeing your pictures and reading your reviews, it sounds like it's very likely! The only reason I was hesitant is because we didn't plan on having a car, and it sounds like it's a little out of the way, but do you think we'll need one? We had stayed at the Doubletree in Mission Valley previously and liked the fact that it was on the trolley route...I booked us a suite at the Palms, but we have to get a roll-away because we have 2 teens, and they were out of the double/queen suites...

Thanks again for your pics! Kelly

The driving from LAX to San Diego was horrible and scary but it was also at 3:30 pm on a weekday. The drive from San Diego back to Anaheim was wonderful. That was on a Sunday afternoon. Driving around San Diego was not a problem. Also the San Diego airport is a short drive from the hotels on Shelter Island. As for the Amtrak train, one of the front desk girls at the CCI told us it is a great way to get to San Diego from LA/Anaheim. I will keep that in mind for the next time we should venture to DL and San Diego.

We stayed at Best Western Island Palms on Shelter Island. AWESOME!!! Follow this link to my pictures. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2082693&page=3
This hotel was amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. Everyone was friendly and the views are amazing. We got a great rate with AAA. We didn't go to Sea World but we did do the zoo. It is wonderful. Definitely get there at park opening and go to the pandas first (thanks for the advice scooterL). We were able to take our time and spend about 20 minutes watching them and taking pictures. About 2 hours later when we walked past the panda exhibit, there was a huge line to see them.

Anyone have any pictures of the Desert Palms & Suites? We are staying there for the first time this September. We usually stay at the Desert Inn & Suites but got a better price at the Desert Palm with the Stay 3 get 2 free offer! I would love some actual pictures and reports. Thank you in advance!! :)

Minnie I TOTALLY FORGOT pics. I have two taken in the room, but you can't see much.

They were clean and pretty average

Thank you Emmers. Tripadvisor.com gets some really bad reviews and then some good ones too. I forgot to check reviews before I booked it, because it was such a good deal I thought. Which kind of room did you stay in? Thank you very much!!

Minniegirl, what is the difference between the two as far as location? I'd like to compare prices...I'm looking for something close to the parks (within walking distance if possible) thanks! Kelly
