Post Photos of Hotels Here...DLH, HoJo, BWPPI, DI&S, CCI...etc.

Does anyone have pics of Del Sol Inn????

I have pics of DLH, GCH and PPH but it looks like everyone has covered what I already have.

Thanks!

I'll be staying at Del Sol June 4-9 and will take pictures. Hopefully someone else will have some too but if not I will post mine when I get back.

We returned on Saturday, May 9 from a 6 night stay at the Candy Cane Inn. What a great place. The room, lobby, pool area and grounds were immaculate. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate for a quick meal before heading to the park. The beds were very comfy and the room was more than enough space for the two of us. (we had a deluxe room) There was plenty of parking. The private shuttle was a major plus. It ran to the parks on the hour and half hour. From the parks on the 15 minutes and 45 minutes. It was always prompt. Walking was not a problem. It was close enough to walk to the parks (less than 10 minutes) yet far enough away from the main traffic area to be quiet and relaxing. We loved staying here.

I will post pictures of the hotel as soon as I load them into my computer.

Here are some pictures of the Candy Cane Inn. Awesome place.

Hi, Thanks for posting. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the pictures are not showing up. They are only showing red x's. I think there are some online photo hosting companies that do not allow direct linking to photos, kodakgallery may be one of them. You may want to try to upload to Photobucket.
I'd love to see actual photos of CCI's rooms from a 1st person perspective.

ETA:
Weird; now they are showing up for me. I copied and pasted the link into my browser and then I could see the photos. I wonder if I can see them now because they are cached in my IE. ??? I was going to mention if you remove the image code then people could click on the links to see the photos and then it came up for me.

I just reloaded the page twice and again only the red x's. Sorry!

BTW, was that a premium room or a regular deluxe room? Thanks!

Hope you get to upload the pictures so we can see them! we had a fantastic stay there this past Dec-Jan. Hubby and I particularly like it for an adult type place to stay if we can't afford the DL hotel. For some reason we found it kind of romantique :lovestruc
The grand kids LOVE LOVE LOVED HoJo's in February though!! it was right during a bit of a hot spell so they got to spend lot's of time in the water play area, you can't imagine their faces when they looked out the balcony of their room upon arrival, the room was looking right into the water play area! they were jumping 2 feet off the ground! lol...

The room was a deluxe. We were going to get a premium but the "extra perks" weren't worth the extra money. The rooms are the same for the deluxe and premium. The hotel is situated in a U shape layout, with the bottom of the U being straight across. The deluxe rooms are on the sides down towards the bottom of the U. The premium rooms are the bottom of the U. They are further away from the pool and lobby but are quieter. Hope this makes sense.

They were renovating some of the standard rooms while we were there. We saw new carpet being put in and new bedding.

I can't get the links to work either. I have found that I normally have to put my personal photos in photobucket before I can post them here. Try that. :thumbsup2

I added my photos to photobucket. Sorry for all the confusion.

Hopefully, here are the pictures. If not, please let me know.

Those are new bedspreads at the Candy Cane! (I like the old ones better, but they were probably long due for new ones!)

Thanks for getting the pictures to show up!:flower3:

seeing those pictures really makes me want to be back there!! thankyou for posting! I wonder how long my dicount voucher is good for... we got one last time we stayed. I'll have to check it and start planning...3 months is quite long enough to be away from my favorite place on the planet!!

Thanks for the info! I thought the Premium rooms were supposedly slightly larger than the deluxe, but if they are the same, then you're right -- it wouldn't make sense to pay for the extra perks.
And :cheer2::yay: you got the photos to work on Photobucket!
:cheer2:

ETA: I've often heard people say the size of the rooms are small, but it looks good enough to me! :)

Thanks for the pictures - we are staying @ CCI in August for our first DL trip.

Just curious, where did you fly into?

We are flying SWA into SNA. Then driving out to San Diego after five days.

We flew into LAX, drove to San Diego for 3 days, then drove back to Anaheim. We then flew home out of LAX. I would have preferred to fly into San Diego but we had Delta Skymiles and the flights to San Diego weren't available for the times we wanted.

You will love the Candy Cane Inn. This was also our first trip to DL.

We are doing the opposite. We are flying from Providence to Santa Ana, staying from Mon-Sat at CCI, then taking the Amtrak Pacific Surf Liner to San Diego (Sounds like it would be nice) then staying in San Diego from Saturday through Tues and leaving on Wed. We will fly from San Diego to Providence.

Where did you stay in San Diego? So many choices....so scarey....

We are staying on Shelter Island - I have my fingers crossed.

We are planning on San Diego Zoo and Seaworld.

How did you find the driving? Was it as scarey as you thought? We rented a convertible in San Diego.

The driving from LAX to San Diego was horrible and scary but it was also at 3:30 pm on a weekday. The drive from San Diego back to Anaheim was wonderful. That was on a Sunday afternoon. Driving around San Diego was not a problem. Also the San Diego airport is a short drive from the hotels on Shelter Island. As for the Amtrak train, one of the front desk girls at the CCI told us it is a great way to get to San Diego from LA/Anaheim. I will keep that in mind for the next time we should venture to DL and San Diego.

We stayed at Best Western Island Palms on Shelter Island. AWESOME!!! Follow this link to my pictures. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2082693&page=3
This hotel was amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. Everyone was friendly and the views are amazing. We got a great rate with AAA. We didn't go to Sea World but we did do the zoo. It is wonderful. Definitely get there at park opening and go to the pandas first (thanks for the advice scooterL). We were able to take our time and spend about 20 minutes watching them and taking pictures. About 2 hours later when we walked past the panda exhibit, there was a huge line to see them.
