Post office ??

ok , as have never been to dlrp before is there a post office tehre?

the reason i ask is , as well as post cards , i want to post christmas cards from there as our christmas site does a card exchange , and people have asked if i send them from disneyland

do you know roughly how must it would it would cost to send a card to the usa ??

it might work out too dear , form the uk its about 72p

Can't help with postal costs to the USA but for UK we buy stamps from the shops.
I'm sure you would be able to buy the correct postage.

You can then take your postcards to City Hall and they will post them

Whenever we bought postcards the shop was either able to sell stamps or would tell us the nearest place to purchase them from if they did not hold stock

Is it only City Hall that will post them? I usually go with a large load of people, this year its only us going so I might send each family a wee 'hiya we're having fun, you're not haha!' kinda message!

There's a post office in the railway station aswell. If i remember right the opening hours were pretty good.

There is a post office in the train station. They are not open in the weekends though.

Between the couple of times we went this year, postage has changed, so check with the post office (or be sure they have current information) at the shops.

Good point Diane. Every hotel will take stamped mail from you and post it

From personal experience i wouldn't use the box at Newport Bay.

We put cards in there a few yrs ago and they never arrived. The only time postcards have never reached their destination.

Could just be coincidence but ever since i've asked reception/concierge to take them for posting.

When we were there last October we looked for Christmas cards, as I was doing a Christmas card exchange on a certain website but they only had individual cards and the cost would have been prohibitive.

Just give your cards to concierge in the hotel and they will take care of it.

Current international postage from France is 0,85 for cards. Cheaper than from Germany so I try and send my mail from France when possible

When we at DLRP in July, we were advised to buy our stamps from the Photography shop on High Street (first corner on the right, diagonally across from the City Halls). And, as mentioned above, we then handed them into City Halls to get posted (and they arrived safely, in the UK).
