Post Cruise DATW List (Updated)

My dad did chemo a couple years ago, so I understand all the the things that go along with it.

well guys, i have to take myself off the list..

i won't be at WDW at all until september...

as you may know, i was originally scheduled for the podcast cruise (together with my mom and sister - a girls only cruise), but had to reschedule - my son, for some odd reason, felt i should be at his wedding instead....go figure...

so i resceduled the cruise for may 21st, which would have me at WDW for the post cruise DATW..

but i've had to reschedule the cruise to september...

my sister will be starting her chemotherapy next week and won't be finished until June.....

forget the cruise, she won't be able to fly here to be at my son's wedding (her only nephew) ...

i'm planning on hiring someone to broadcast the wedding to a webpage live...i assume that's possible....so that my sister and her family can take part from the other side of the ocean....

anyway..i won't be at the DATW, so i still won't get to meet you guys...

hopefully another time..

this is the fourth time she has to do the full round of chemo...
she did it 5 years ago (for small cell lung cancer)..
then 3 years later for ovarian cancer...
then a year ago, again for ovarian...
and now for both the lung and the ovarian (both came back)...
(and in between she's had multiple surgeries and radiation as well)..

she's a miracle story - she's beaten all the odds....every statistic says she shouldn't have made it even one year after her original diagnosis, but she's still here 5 years later....

so moral of the story - NEVER believe the statistics....each person is an individual...everyone is different...

and the other moral of the story is live every day you have to the fullest...
you NEVER know what tomorrow will bring.....

for me, that means putting family and friends first....(it took my sister's illness for me to relearn that)...

Hopefully eveything goes great for your sister with the chemo.
I hope you can also live stream the wedding for her that would be great.
There will be other times for us to meet.
