Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

if it were me I would call SWA and ask if you can cancel . just in case the 24 hours might be 12am tonight
Too late to help this poster, but it used to be under the previous regime that they would cancel back to original form of payment until midnight Central Time the next day. That's why if you look back at the early pages of this thread, conventional wisdom was to wait two days before cancelling a flight you wanted as a flight credit. Delta operates similarly, you have until midnight Eastern Time before it's fully locked in. No idea if that's still the case with the PE group taking control.

Can someone explain the difference between qualifying for pre-boarding versus extra time? I'm flying with my mom on Thursday. She has two knee replacements, a shoulder replacements and is recovering from a broken wrist. She moves slowly (and I'm probably going to need to help her with her bag), but she can walk. She is also a nervous flyer so it would definitely be significantly better if we sit together.

I tried looking at Southwest's website, but it is pretty vague on details.

It sounds like you more than qualify for pre boarding. You may want to get a wheelchair just to have a little extra help through tsa. I would call the airline.

Did I miss the following for release dates on Southwest?? I was just checking on previously booked flights and they are now booking through Sept 30th. Flights are priced high so I don't know when they were released!>:(
Wow, how times have changed! This thread used to always have a few people waiting to book on release day in the early morning hours.

I think it just happened in the last week or so, vaguely remember seeing it mentioned on the credit card thread.

What's done is done. It actually worked out since I could coordinate 3 family's flights while sitting at home instead of at work. :fish:

I think it was actually just a few days ago.

But remember we had a month and a half of a government shutdown when air travel was chaotic (a generous term honestly) and this week it's Thanksgiving week when everyone is busy. Reports for several years now are release day flight pricing is often high compared to years prior to that where you might have gotten a better deal then.
