Post all SW questions concerns, etc. here...

PSA: Make sure if you need to change your vacation and you have already booked Early Bird on your flights.....that you actually CHANGE your flight and not cancel your flight then rebook......
I forgot about the no refund on the Early Bird portion of ticket!!

I must have been low on caffein LOLOLOL

Just got an email from SW last night that they cancelled our flight on 01/25 and rebooked us on an earlier flight. It didn't work well for us as it's our return flight from MCO to MKE and I don't want to leave our resort at 8am for the earlier flight. I also had it synced with DD26's Delta flight from MCO to MSP. I went to the website and rebooked for later in the day and still a nonstop. DH, DD23 and myself will just hang out at MCO for an extra hour and a half after DD26 leaves on her flight.

Interesting that they are already changing flight schedules this far in advance.

My flights in January also changed. Am I able to change my flights to a new airport? Or can it only be a new day/time from the same airport?

SW has been pretty systematically going through their flight schedules and making wholesale changes. I've got several flights currently booked with SW, and starting a couple of months ago I got emails that each one of them had been somehow changed (and they came in chronological order, lol). A lot of it has to do with Boeing not being able to deliver the planes they promised, so SW is having to adjust/consolidate/move flights.

Kind of irritating that you only get so much time to change it when they do it so early. It changed from 2:45 to leaving at 1:20, hopefully they don't move it earlier because my other option leaves at 8pm 🫠

The price change is wild too, I'm wondering if they combined two flights but can't remember. Glad I upgraded it when I did a few weeks ago!

I'm going in early January, and they did the same thing. Heading home changed by a whopping 15 minutes. But the one into Orlando more to 2 hours later

Our flight change was over 3 hours earlier than the original. So strange that they didn't make the automatic rebook onto the flight that was 1.5 hours later as that would have been a closer time and still a nonstop flight. Oh well, I changed it myself.

Our February flight to MCO changed. It was originally scheduled to leave at 12:45pm and arrive at 3:30pm, but now it’s leaving at 9:15am and arriving at 12:10pm.

I guess it’s fine. I preferred the 12:45pm departure because it meant no early morning scramble to get to the airport and a 3:30pm arrival is great timing for room ready.

The returning flight hasn’t changed.

Airports nearby can sometimes be changed to, but if they’re not within the designated grouping it will be a no-go. You can attempt to change it in the app to see which airports if any are permissible for your area.

Both my February flights changed - they put me on ridiculous new flights so I had to change them. TWO IMPORTANT NOTES IF THEY CHANGE YOU - 1) Do not cancel and rebook or you forfeit your Early Bird prepayments, and 2) Be sure to call and ask for points or refund credits if your "new" flights you (or they) picked are cheaper, they do not automatically refund (crooks). My new flights dropped from 43,000 points to 28,000 points and they would not have credited if I'd not called!

My return flight for February just got changed as well. They re-booked me on a flight with a layover that leaves MCO at 10:30am … but there is a non-stop flight that ALSO leaves at 10:30am. I rebooked to the non-stop. Why would those turkeys book me on a flight with a layover when there was a non-stop departing at the same time???

I could sort of see it if the flight with the layover was closer to the original departure … but they both depart 5 HOURS earlier than the original flight!

Huh- Mine have always shown the price difference when I changed them on my own- for a route change,I believe there is no fare change for that,so if you choose pricier route,or a cheaper route it's the same.....
