We are going over that way after a few days in WDW and were looking for a campground, is it bikeable or walkable to the beach or town? Are there restaurants or stores bikeable? I ask this bc we have a Class B and don't want to unhook and like to ride our bikes around and explore areas. I know this post is a few months old but thanks for any info! We also usually try state parks but its a last minute escape trip hehe
Sits on the Illinois River just north of St. Louis. It is about 45 minutes from home and a nice place to start off the season. Rain most of today, but tonight and tomorrow will be really nice.
The lodge and hotel here are very cool. Built in the 30s by the CCC.
Indian Mountain State Park in Jellico TN. There are full hook-ups.
We went up on 4/25/21 for 5 nights. There are 47 sites. The sites are a bit short and narrow. The fire ring, picnic table and grill are a distance from your camper on most sites. There is a 20 acre lake for fishing. Frank caught a bunch of small crappie, bass and bream. They had stocked the lake recently. Good place off I-75 for a nightly stop or if you live close by a short stay. There was no TV reception and 1 radio channel. All around you is mountains.
Cedar Breaks on Lake Georgetown. It has been raining all weekend- I love it, but we are seriously considering our options to go fully hardside (but small) after battling canvas in the rain.
Also- does anyone know why phone photos orient sideways instead of righting themselves?!
Lol. The bicycle had a flat tire that I picked up at gulf state park. We were trying to fix it but weren’t able to. I didn’t get to bike at Fort Pickens.
Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Campground is electric only. Has water when you come in and a dump station on the way out. No cell service and no wi fi.
