Possible waitlist problem?

I have two reservations at the same resort, villa category and within the same time frame. One ressie is for 4 people for 4 nights, and the other for 2 people for 5 nights. (They are not traveling together) I have waitlisted different dates for that first ressie with the 4 people and indicated to cancel that particular reservation if the waitlist comes through. Is it possible for DVC to cancel both reservations or cancel the wrong reservation?

Waitlists are finalized by a CM. With human actions there can be things done that you don't want done. One would hope they would not and I'd believe it wouldn't be done but it would never be 100% that it wouldn't be done.
