. It's not named yet, but 70% chance by Tues to be approaching Florida. You will certainly be fine by the 8th.

I was just curious cause i haven't seen anything on the National Hurricane Center site for anything in the Atlantic Ocean, and I look from time to time even when there is no Disney trip looming..lol..

If it were to storm at least I would be at Disney World!

Anyone else have a Disney trip Aug 31-7 that could be affected by this possible storm?

I'll be down there Aug 29-Sept 3. I saw the news on the Weather Channel but I dunno, if it rains it rains (latest seems to indicate it is moving out and up over the Atlantic); maybe it'll scare people out of the parks...

This is a pretty good blog post about storms and Disney if you need some tips or advice. Tom Bricker's site, search: disney world storms

I think there have only been a few instances where WDW shut down because of a hurricane. Trip is booked, plans are made; just gotta ride it out I suppose. Sucks for photography purposes, but I guess it's an excuse to go back again...

Unlikely that this will affect the parks.

The "storm" isn't yet developed but the various models show it going well to the east of central FL.

I'll be there from Aug 30 to Sep 6 and I'm hoping this storm veers off to the northeast or has already passed the area by the time I get there. Both of these possibilities are likely and in our favor, but I'm still watching closely because the experts are saying that this storm is really hard to forecast. The several different computer models are showing a few different paths, with the less likely ones heading straight for Florida, but still a possibility.
